Hannah Montana fans were treated to a walk down memory lane when Miley Cyrus’ TV mom, Brooke Shields, marked a special episode’s anniversary with some sweet throwback photos.

Cyrus played Miley Stewart in the Disney Channel show, which focused on Cyrus’ character’s careful balance living a double life as the fictional pop star Hannah Montana. Cyrus’ father, Billy Ray, played her onscreen dad, and while her character’s mother was not alive in the run of the show, Shields occasionally stepped into that role during dream sequences.

On Sat., April 27, Shields marked the 17-year anniversary of one episode in which she appeared with an Instagram post.

“Hard to believe that this episode of #HannahMontana aired 17 years ago today,” Shields, now 58, wrote in her Instagram caption, adding, “what a sweet time being on set with these people!!” The episode she referenced was titled “I Am Hannah, Hear Me Croak.” It aired in 2007 as the fifth episode of Season 2.

Three of the photos Shields included in her five-part Instagram post showed the model with Cyrus, now 31, on the Hannah Montana set in what appeared to be images taken from the episode. Another photo showed Shields holding Cyrus as they both looked directly into the camera. The fourth photo included in the series was another screenshot from the episode that showed Shields and Cyrus sitting on a couch next to two of Cyrus’ co-stars, Emily Osment and Mitchel Musso.

Several fans of the four-season sitcom were thrilled to see the throwback photos, which one person described as “nostalgia at its finest.” While some fans recalled watching the show when they were kids, others fondly remembered watching it with their own children.

“I can't believe its been 17 years already,” one Instagram user wrote.

“I remember watching it with my kids! Crazy!” one fan said as another shared that they remembered “watching this with my daughters.”

“Loved watching this very touching episode back in the day with my little girl!” an Instagram user commented. Another said that they still "cry through that episode every time I watch it.”
