Brooke Shields and daughters first rule the internet, then the stock market, with sassy bathing-suit snaps

Brooke Shields’ star power sent American Eagle’s stock skyward as shares soared after she and her two daughters posed bathing-suit-clad on a sunny beach sporting the line’s Aerie Real Good Swim collection.

The actress and model lit up both the internet and the stock market with the snaps of herself and her two daughters frolicking in Southampton, N.Y., according to People.

American Eagle Outfitters shares shot up 5% on Tuesday after the 56-year-old star shared an Instagram post with her 1.2 million followers, Yahoo! Finance reported. On Wednesday, that translated into a 3% increase in pre-market trading.

The gingham swimwear, variations on simple black-and-white checks adorned with a mixture of ruffles, puffed sleeves and bows, were captioned “soaking it all in” in her Instagram post.

The actress and her daughters, Rowan, 18, and Grier, 15, were photographed taking their own selfies, embracing, and tripping through the waves, People reported.

The star showed zero signs of the horrific accident that had her fearing for her life earlier this year when she fell off a balance beam and shattered her leg. At the time she wondered if she’d ever walk again.

Shields’ bathing suit photos swept social media and bode well for Aerie’s second-quarter sales, Yahoo! Finance said. With our without her influence, though, the brand’s intimates line has also been one of the hottest in recent years, Yahoo! Finance said, earning points on a number of fronts, including inclusivity and a lack of body shaming.
