Brooke Shields and her daughter Grier Hammond Henchy are now tattoo twins for life.
The Mother of the Bride actress and her 18-year-old daughter recently got inked up together with the help of celebrity tattoo artist Scott Campbell—and their matching tats are the perfect way to pay homage to their special relationship.
Brooke, 58, and Grier talk about their experience of getting tatted-up together while appearing on an episode of Scott's Stupid Things For Love podcast, which is expected to drop on Monday, May 13.
In a sneak preview of the episode, the mother-daughter duo gushes over their new shared ink, which has a meaning that is very near and dear to both of their hearts.
The dainty tattoo is meant to depict Grier literally stepping into her mom's shoes, as the teen is currently in the midst of getting her own modeling career off the ground, just like her famous mama.
The ink, which was placed on Grier's wrist and in the middle of her mom's forearm, shows two pairs of high heels, presumably one pair that belongs to Brooke and one pair for her daughter. Grier's feet are clearly too small for the shoes, representing her literally following in her mom's fabulous footsteps.
"When she was little, she would always just wear my shoes, no matter how teeny she was," Brooke told Scott during a phone call about their inspo for the ink.
Even when Grier was in a "diaper," Brooke said that she would still walk around in the adult-sized pumps, which her little feet barely filled out. "She would go into my closet and come out and have breakfast in her diaper and high heels, and then the night gown and high heels."
"And you hear her clicking all over the house," she added with a laugh, calling the memory of her little girl the "cutest" thing.
In addition to Grier, Brooke is also a mom to first-born daughter Rowan Francis Henchy, 20. She shares both of her daughters with longtime husband and film director Chris Henchy.
