New Bronco Raptor Off-Roading School Is for OwnersFord

Ford Performance announced Friday it will invite owners of its Bronco Raptor to participate in a new program in Nevada designed to teach the ins and outs of desert driving.

Launched off the popularity of its Bronco "Off-Roadeo" driving school started back in 2020, the Ford Bronco Off-Roadeo Raptor Experience aims to teach owners of the high-performance SUV how to use their vehicles properly in an off-road environment.

The multi-tiered course, designed by a handful of off-roading champions and factory driver Vaughn Gittin Jr., is inspired by Ultra4 Racing courses, meaning a combination of high-speed desert running and low-speed rock crawling.

“Bronco Raptor customers want to experience their SUVs in the Ultra4-inspired habitat it was developed for,” Ford Performance global director Mark Rushbrook said in a statement. “Just like the King of the Hammers race, our Bronco Off-Roadeo Raptor Experience for our customers combines all of the thrilling and unforgiving terrain and conditions of the Mojave Desert with professional off-road instructors and school-provided Bronco Raptors for a Built Wild experience.”

Everyone who's purchased a new 2022 or 2023 Bronco Raptor is entitled to a full-day experience at the Mt. Potosi, Nevada course, says Ford. That's just minutes from the Las Vegas strip, and you can even bring a guest for an additional fee. The company hasn't revealed when owners will be able to start attending, though we suspect slots will begin to open up later this year.
