Bright on the diamond: Monday's Fantastic Five high school athletes in MetroWest

Suns out, big time players make big plays. Monday's MetroWest and Milford-area Fantastic Five high school athletes, threw no-hitters, notched milestone moments and delivered in the clutch.

Let's get right to it:

WILL ADAMSKI, Hopedale baseball

He threw a five-inning no-hitter in a 13-0 win over Blackstone-Millville. Adamski struck out nine and walked one. Brayden Lewis had four RBIs and a triple on a 2-for-3 day, while Lucas Levasseur scored two runs and drove in three with one hit for the Blue Raiders (6-2). Hopedale's Brady Wajda (two runs) and Noah Smith each had two RBIs, while Michael Rutkowski scored two runs and drove in one.

CAM CUMMINGS, RAY EVANS & NOAH ROCHE, Tri-County baseball

They combined to throw a no-hitter, as the Cougars picked up their first win of the season 19-0 over Atlantis Charter in five innings. Nathan McCurdy was 4-for-5 for Tri-County (1-1) with two RBIs. Panthers sophomore Dylan Maw added three RBIs and scored three runs.

RYAN DILLON, Marlborough baseball

The Cornell pledge drove in six runs on a 5-for-5 day where he tripled, doubled twice and scored three runs in 19-0 win over Fitchburg. Dylan Romano touched home five times and was 3-for-3 with a double and three RBIs. Jack Cincotta (run) and Sheamus Mahoney (three runs) each had two hits and an RBI with a walk. Marlborough pitcher Jack Finnochario struck out seven and allowed just two hits in a shutout.

MACY INGRAHAM, Millis softball

The freshman drove in the winning run with a walk off single in the bottom of the ninth, giving Millis a 3-2 victory over Medway in extra innings. Millis' Alicia Ellis tripled to open the bottom of the ninth and scored the winning run. Riley Caulfield struck out 10 and threw a complete game for Millis (3-2, 2-1 Tri-County) and had two hits. Millis' Lindsay Grattan also dropped in two hits.

TY LETICHEVSKY, Ashland baseball

He knocked in two hits and an RBI, including the walkoff single in the bottom of the ninth, sealing a 4-3 win for the Clockers over Holliston. Letichevski also earned the win throwing four innings in relief where he struck out seven and allowed just two hits and two walks. Holliston's Jake Schoenberg tripled and had an RBI. Ty Bosselman also had a hit and scored a run for the Panthers.

LUC MASSE, AMSA boys lacrosse

He notched his 100th career point on an assist in a 14-2 win over Assabet Valley. Masse scored four goals with two assists for the Eagles (5-0, 2-0 Colonial). AMSA's Casey Matijevic connected on four goals with one assist, while Hayden Karney notched a hat trick with an assist.

VIVIAN WEATHERBEE, Hudson girls tennis

She sealed the Hawks' 3-2 in over Groton-Dunstable with a three-set victory at No. 2 singles. Weatherbee won the first set 6-4 against Nora Petros before falling 3-6 in the second. That set up a third set for the point and match, which Weatherbee won 6-1. Hudson No. 2 singles player Sophie Charbonneau won 7-5, 6-1 over Bianca Freenan. Hudson's No. 2 doubles team of Taylor Coyne and Sophia Bater beat Gabby Norris and Maggie Sullivan 7-6 (4), 6-1.

Baseball

LINCOLN-SUDBURY 8, Bridgewater-Raynham 1: Matt Mahoney struck out 12 throwing six-plus innings allowing just one hit and one run for the Warriors. He brought a no-hitter into the seventh and was 2-for-4 at the plate and scored two runs. L-S' Connor Hammond was 2-for-3 with a double and two RBIs in his first varsity start. Jake Haarde (two RBIs) and Garrett Mahoney (two runs, RBI) each collected two hits for the Warriors (4-3), while every starter registered at least one hit.

BLACKSTONE VALLEY TECH 5, Bay Path 4: Jack Kraus gave the Beavers (6-1, 2-0) the lead in the bottom of the sixth when he drew a bases-loaded walk. BVT's Jack Marino picked up the win in relief after striking out five in three innings of work.

WELLESLEY 16, Brookline 0: Tate Bannish homered and doubled among his three hits with four RBIs for the Raiders (5-2, 3-1 Bay State Conference). Wellesley's Ryan McCausland threw four innings of one-hit ball to earn the win.

NORTH ATTLEBOROUGH 5, Franklin 4 (8): Jake Shaughnessy was 2-for-4 for the Panthers, while Henry DiGiorgio (two walks) and Matt Lucini each had a run and an RBI. Franklin's Rex Cinelli and Dominic Caccavelli (run) each collected a hit an a walk. Panthers starter Austin Campbell struck out 12 in six innings, allowing just two hits and three runs in the no-decision.

HOPKINTON 13, Medfield 9: Mitch Simulis had three hits including a double and drove in two runs for the Hillers. Hopkinton's Nick Pedroli (two hits, two runs) and Ryan Lang (double, run) each had two RBIs. Hillers starter Jack Arthur earned the win after striking out eight in 42/3 innings allowing just four hits and one earned run.

AMSA 15, Keefe Tech 2 (5): Matt Hassapes struck out nine over five two-hit innings, junior Liam Thornley was 3-for-5 with three RBIs and senior Anthony Skillings doubled and drove in two for the Eagles (3-1, 2-0 Colonial).

ASSABET 4, Worcester Tech 3: Jake Sweeney scored the winning run on Andrew Talcoff's fifth-inning sacrifice fly for the Assabet (1-4, 1-1 Colonial). Talcoff drove in two runs, Andrew Talmo had two hits, and C. J. Coehlo belted an RBI triple. Myles Kiley and Kenny Bergeron each had two hits for the Eagles (2-5, 1-2).

NIPMUC 14, Douglas 0 (5): Daniel Heisler needed just 54 pitches to throw five innings of one-hit, shutout ball - allowing an infield single to start the game and then retiring the next 15 hitters in order - and Sean Burchard hit a first-inning grand slam for the Warriors (4-2, 3-0 Dual Valley).

OAKMONT 11, Hudson 5: Caelen O'Brien had a hit and scored three runs for the Hawks (3-4).

BELLINGHAM 13, Norton 1: Every starter had at least one hit for the Blackhawks (5-2). Bellingham starter Tyler Ladouceur allowed just three hits in 5 2/3 innings to earn the win.

Softball

LINCOLN-SUDBURY 20, Waltham 0: Lia Mazzocchi recorded her 200th career strikeout in a 20-0 win over Waltham. Natalie Greta drove in four runs and had two hits including a double for the Warriors.

NORTON 10, Bellingham 4: Ainsley MacNeil was 3-for-3 with two RBIs for the Blackhawks (2-4, 1-4 TVL). Bellingham's Jacobi Houston tripled among her three hits.

AMSA 10, Doherty 2: Madelyn Glynn was 3-for-4 with two doubles and two RBIs, Elena Tramontozzi singled, doubled and drove in two runs and Grace Galvin and Brooke Laudate (triple) each had two hits for the Eagles (4-1).

WORCESTER TECH 14, Assabet 4: Marian Sousa (double, triple) and Erin Blanchard (double) each had three hits for Assabet (0-3, 0-2 Colonial).

BLACKSTONE VALLEY TECH 4, Bay Path 3: Addison Snow's two-out RBI single in the sixth inning delivered the winning run for the Beavers (3-3, 2-0 Colonial). BTV's Brooke Gnaidek hit a run-scoring double earlier in the inning to tie.

HOPEDALE 13, Blackstone-Millville 1 (5): Layden MacDonald (double, RBI), Lizzie Brytowski (double) and Layla Huntley (two RBIs) all had two hits, while Brytowski struck out nine over four innings for the Blue Raiders (6-0, 3-0 Dual Valley).

NIPMUC 13, Douglas 0 (5): Janelle Scirocco struck out nine over five shutout innings, and singled three times and drove in four runs for the Warriors (6-0, 3-0 Dual Valley. Brynn DiAnni (RBI), Sera DeBaggis and Izzy Nicholson (two RBIs) all had two hits for Nipmuc.

MARLBOROUGH 18, Fitchburg 3 (5): Carolina Burgos doubled twice and drove in two runs, and Erin Seder was - for-5 with a triple for the Panthers (4-3, 2-2 Mid-Wach B).

WELLESLEY 19, Brookline 0 (5): Mia Hasselback tripled and homered among her five hits, scoring four runs with three RBIs for the Raiders (3-3).

HOPKINTON 9, Medfield 3: Alex Riesenberger struck out 10, allowing just five hits for the Hillers (5-2).

Boys lacrosse

UPPER CAPE 10, Tri-County 9 (OT): Dylan Sullivan scored two goals and two assists for the Cougars (1-4, 1-4 Mayflower). He also went 12-2 on the face off X.

HOPKINTON 14, Bellingham 8: Will Rockwell scored his first career goal for the Hillers, while Will Schofield and Nate Spinale had their first career saves for Hopkinton. Bellingham's Ryan Austin put in four goals with one assist, while Brady Carroll added two goals and two assists. Jack Baker won 17 faceoffs, including the 500th of his career to become the all-time leader at Bellingham (3-5, 1-3 TVL).

WESTWOOD 16, Medway 6: Gavin Shipos scored twice for the Mustangs (4-2, 3-2 TVL). Medway's Will Parella saved 15 shots.

FRANKLIN 9, Lexington 6: Goalie Matt Corvi kept the Panthers (6-0) unbeaten with 20 saves. Franklin's Dylan McEvoy fired in three goals, while Eddie O'Brien found the net twice.

Girls lacrosse

WESTBOROUGH 13, Shrewsbury 6: Lily Villaflor put away four goals for the Rangers (7-1). Westborough's Taylor Payne added a hat trick and an assist, while freshman Elizabeth Litman turned away seven shots.

LITTLETON 17, Marlborough 10: Ella Hobin fired in five goals and won six draw controls for the Panthers (1-5). Marlborough's Elizabeth Johnson and Maggie Horn each found the net twice.

HOPKINTON 16, Bellingham 8: Freshman Lucie Mato fired in five goals for the Hillers (2-6). Hopkinton's Cadyn Rosendale and Charlotte Schhuster each scored their first varsity goal.

Boys volleyball

MARLBOROUGH 3, Algonquin 0: Gui Garcia put down 14 kills for the Panthers (8-1, 5-1) in a 25-14, 25-15, 25-15 victory.

Boys tennis

DOVER-SHERBORN 3, Dedham 2: The Raiders used their depth to prevail. Isaac Lee won at first singles, while D-S' No. 1 doubles pair of Yair Elman and Harrison dePaola and second doubles team of Peyton Cypes and Sam Greene secured the necessary points.

WESTBOROUGH 5, Nashoba 0: The Rangers only lost two games across four matches, winning the third singles slot via forfeit. Both Westborough (4-0) doubles teams won in straight sets. Sean Levesque and Sumanth Sura prevailed 6-0, 6-0 over Carter Neuschafer and Dimitri Klochkov 6-0, 6-0, and the No. 2 team of Sri Navuduri and Sushant Santhosh picked up a 6-0, 6-0 win over Alex Dow and Harry Cantin. Westborough's No. 1 singles player Jordan Hlawek beat Victor Xu 6-1, 6-0, and Jorge Garcia-Gonzalez bested Alex Jangro 6-0, 6-1 at No. 2.

Girls tennis

LEOMINSTER 4, Marlborough 1: Freshman Emmaline Bowles moved to 5-0 in her first varsity season with a 6-1, 6-0 win at No. 3 singles.

QUABOAG 4, AMSA 1: The Eagles No. 2 doubles team Ava Daly and Stella Damoulakis picked up a point with a 6-4, 6-0 win for SMA (1-4).

NASHOBA 3, Westborough 2: Rangers No. 3 singles player Sahsara Kommineni bested Sadie Gorr 6-1, 6-0, and the Westborough No. 1 doubles team of Katie Xie and Ella Glasgow prevailed 6-4, 6-1 against Grace Hanley and Lily Robinson.

Girls golf

WESTBOROUGH 23, Ayer-Shirley 13: Ashley Huang earned medalist honors with an 8-over 31 for six holes at Settlers Crossing for the Rangers (3-0).
