Magic 'repairman’ to take the Bucyrus Little Theatre stage on Nov. 12

Traveling magician J.D. McKee will perform at 2:30 p.m. Nov. 12 at Bucyrus Little Theatre, located at 130 Songer St. His show "Magically Ordinary" follows his misadventures on the opening night of his new “magic” repair shop.

Those attending the performance will have an opportunity to enter a raffle to win their own "Fantasma Magic" set. The winner will be announced during the show.

Every Fantasma Magic set comes with an illustrated step-by-step instruction booklet to teach aspiring magicians the best in professional magic tricks. It's the only set endorsed by the International Brotherhood of Magicians.

ODA extends H2Ohio deadline to plant cover crops

REYNOLDSBURG — Due to a late harvest and adverse weather conditions, the Ohio Department of Agriculture (ODA) is extending the 2023 H2Ohio program deadline for planting overwintering cover crops.

H2Ohio producers enrolled in the 24 counties of the Western Lake Erie Basin, including Crawford County, will have until Nov. 15 to plant overwintering cover crops.

Additional $150M available to demolish dilapidated Ohio buildings

COLUMBUS — Additional funding is now available to demolish blighted buildings in Ohio. A new round of the Ohio Building Demolition and Site Revitalization Program will provide $150 million in grants to raze dilapidated commercial and residential buildings and revitalize surrounding properties throughout the state.

The first three rounds of the program – announced in October 2022, December 2022, and January 2023 – awarded nearly $150 million in grants to support 3,699 projects in 87 counties.

As required by the 2023 biennium budget bill, each county will have access to a $500,000 set-aside, with the remaining funds awarded on a first-come, first-served basis.
