Brian Cox Does His Best Logan Roy in New Game Show

Brian Cox is back in charge on TV again. After playing the patriarch of the Roy family and CEO of Waystar Royco on Succession, the Emmy winner has now taken on the villainous role of "The Controller" in 007: Road To A Million.

The new unscripted show, from the producers of the James Bond movies, is described as a "Bond-inspired adventure series" with Cox serving as the "mastermind behind the game" onscreen.

"I got to see how ordinary people would cope with being on a James Bond adventure," Cox said in a press release. "As they travel the world to some of the most iconic Bond locations, it gets more intense and nail-biting. I enjoyed my role as both villain and tormentor, with license to put the hopeful participants through the mangle."

The game show promises to have viewers on the edge of their seats with its drama, locations and "nail-biting challenges." Before the missions begin, here is everything to know about 007: Road To A Million, including the release date, how it works, prize details and more.

The series features 18 contestants who are paired up. The nine teams of two, which include retired police officers, radio presenters and a married couple, are given Bond-inspired challenges around the world, from the Scottish Highlands to Chile’s Atacama Desert, the Swiss Alps, and more. The nine duos will have to find and answer 10 questions that "The Controller" aka Cox has hidden for them for the chance to win a whopping £1,000,000.

"To reach these questions, the pairs face gut-wrenching Bond-inspired challenges which will push their physical strength and mental reserves to the limit," per Prime Video. "Each question is worth an increasing amount of money, if answered correctly, they bank the cash and continue to the next question; get it wrong, their journey is over."
