The weather in Dover, Delaware has been rough ahead of today’s DuraMAX Drydene 400. It’s been so rough that NASCAR has had to make an abrupt decision for everyone’s safety.

According to reports, the Drydene 400 is being moved to tomorrow. It will be contested at 12 p.m. ET and will air on FS1, FOXSports.com and the FOX Sports app.

78 laps into the first stage of the race, rain began falling and the Dover Motor Speedway asked fans in attendance to seek shelter away from the track. The delay lasted a full hour before the decision to reschedule the race for Monday.

Thankfully, the weather forecast for Monday is a lot more favorable. It will be in the high-60s to mid-70s with almost no chance of rain and a light breeze. Ideal conditions for racing.

As for those who were in attendance at Dover Motor Speedway today, they’ll be taken care of. Ticket holders who were in attendance will be allowed to use the same ticket to get in tomorrow. Parking will be offered for free.

Kyle Larson was leading the race in Stage 1 at the time of the delay. Last year Larson narrowly lost the race to teammate Alex Bowman but went on to win three of the next four en route to winning the NASCAR Cup Series.

Will Larson be able to avenge last year’s second-place finish and win the Drydene 400 tomorrow?
