On Tuesday morning, a troubling report surfaced involving Cleveland Browns defensive lineman Malik McDowell.

According to the South Florida Sun Sentinel, McDowell has been arrested on charges of public exposure and beating a deputy in a “violent attack.”

This “violent attack” from McDowell allegedly left the officer “dazed,” according to the report. The deputy claims that McDowell charged “at full speed with closed fist.”

McDowell’s arrest occurred on Monday. He was arrested in Deerfield Beach.

McDowell has been involved in several run-ins with law enforcement in the past.

In 2017, McDowell was charged with a DUI. Two years later, he was charged with assault, resisting arrest and operating a vehicle while intoxicated.

McDowell has been suspended in the past for his actions off the field. More discipline could be on the way for the Michigan State product.

It’s also worth noting that McDowell remains on probation in Michigan. That could cause additional trouble for him since he got in trouble once again.
