How to choose the best bra for large breasts

Fit: Fit is the most important. As the sizes go up, fit becomes even more important.

Coverage: That said, once the fit is right, other elements to look for are full coverage cups (so all the breast tissue is contained and not billowing out anywhere), wider band, and wings for smoothing and support (90% of a bra’s support comes from the band!), wider straps and possibly even padded if you tend to get dig-in.

Closure: Sena says an “extra hook and eye closure,” can help a bra feel more secure and supportive. “For example, four rows of four clasps are good for larger busted women,” she says.

What type of bra is best for heavy breasts?

If you have very heavy breasts, Sena recommends an underwire to “help anchor the bra down.” She also emphasizes the importance of figuring out your proper cup size with enough coverage “as you don’t want the cups to collapse. I also recommend foam cups for this reason so it has a little more structure to it to combat the weight of the heavy breasts,” she says.
