Brandy Reader joins Blackford County Arts Center as director

HARTFORD CITY, Ind. — Arts Place, a regional arts provider with centers in Hartford City and Portland, announced that Brandy Reader has been appointed as director of the Blackford County Arts Center of Arts Place.

"Brandy will work closely with the executive director to manage the center, serve as liaison to the community board during fundraising, and develop programming for the center," according to a news release.

Reader's past experience includes serving as a Girl Scout leader, vice president of Heritage Days, business manager of several historic properties, and as a researcher.

She moved to Hartford City in 2001, and has two daughters who attend Blackford County schools.

"Brandy's management experience of older properties, community involvement, and her passion for the arts makes her a perfect fit for this position," said Carolyn Carducci, executive director and CEO of Arts Place.
