The Branch Community Theater's musical 'Cinderella' on stage Friday and Saturday at Tibbits
COLDWATER — Residents can enjoy a live musical at the Branch County Community Theater at Tibbits Opera House Friday and Saturday.
Experience the magic of Rodgers and Hammerstein's "Cinderella," a musical that was originally written for television but later brought to life on stage with enchanting music by Richard Rodgers and captivating lyrics by Oscar Hammerstein II. This production, featuring a talented local cast, is a delightful and spectacular presentation.
Everyone knows the plot, but this version comes from the French version "Cendrillon", by Charles Perrault.
This is the story of a young woman forced into a life of servitude by her cruel stepmother and self-centered stepsisters.
Cinderella dreams of a better life, and with the help of her fairy godmother, she is transformed into a princess and finds her prince.
There will be photo opportunities throughout the night, and crowns and tiaras can be purchased to help bring this classic to life.
The cast and production make the musical a fun event for the whole family.
The show is Friday and Saturday at 7 p.m. with a 1 p.m. matinee Saturday.
