Bragg Jam Concert Crawl returns July 30. Here’s the lineup and where to find tickets

The Bragg Jam Concert Crawl is returning to Macon on July 30 and will feature a total of 27 bands across a variety of concert venues in the downtown area.

Prices start at $40 for an advance ticket, with the most expensive ticket being a VIP Pass at $150. Venues include The Crazy Bull, the Hargray Capitol Theatre, Grant’s Lounge and more.

Here’s a list of the top bands playing at this year’s iteration of Bragg Jam.

Bailey Zimmerman

When: 9:30 p.m.

Where: The Crazy Bull Main Stage

Spotify listeners: 3,953,645

Zimmerman is a songwriter from Illinois who gets his inspiration from country music passed on by his father and hair metal he heard from his mom. The result is a country sound infused with power chords from 1980s rock that has led to songs garnering millions of listeners.

Tank and the Bangas

When: 10:30 p.m.

Where: Hargray Capitol Theatre

Spotify listeners: 450,173

Tank and the Bangas are a Grammy-nominated act that met in the New Orleans music scene and were launched to fame after winning NPR’s Tiny Desk concert contest in 2017. Their music combines all manner of funk, jazz and blues. The group is known for high quality live performances and has performed at Coachella and Bonnaroo.

Lunar Vacation

When: 7:15 p.m.

Where: Hargray Capitol Theatre

Spotify listeners: 385,645

The Atlanta-based Lunar Vacation are one of the bigger acts coming to Bragg Jam. The group specializes in indie and bedroom pop with some additional roots in funk and blues mixed in. With their favorite artists ranging from Miles Davis to The Chicks, expect a unique show.

Walker Montgomery

When: 7:45 p.m.

Where: The Crazy Bull Main Stage

Spotify listeners: 231,000

Montgomery hails from Kentucky and focuses on a country music vibe. He is signed to a record deal with Dallas Davidson’s label Play It Again music and has worked with artists like Ashley Gorley on recent collaborations.

Noah Hicks

When: 11:00 p.m.

Where: The Crazy Bull Main Stage

Spotify listeners: 173,120

Hicks is a Carrollton, Georgia native who is known for his country music. He writes his music taking inspiration from his hometown and Southern life, so expect a classic country performance at this show.

Eddie 9V

When: 9:45

Where: Grant’s Lounge

Spotify listeners: 49,867

Eddie 9V is an Atlanta native making blues-tinged rock music. He started his touring career at 15 and cites soul as an influence for his latest work, so be prepared for a passionate show.

Alto Moon

When: 9:15

Where: A Brooke Haven Lounge

Spotify listeners: 33,990

Alto Moon is a producer and songwriter that takes his musical cues from R&B and soul but hits a variety of genres in his discography. With sounds ranging from high melody to bass-heavy, expect a show with variety.

Duane Betts with Johnny Stachela and Barry Duane Oakley

When: 8:45 p.m.

Where: Hargray Capitol Theatre

Spotify listeners: 2,487

While Betts may not have the Spotify starpower of some other artists, this show features Barry Duane Oakley, the son of Allman Brothers Band founding member Barry Oakley. Expect a classic southern rock jam at this show.

Pilot, O.N.E The Duo, Magnolia Moon and Bootz and Katz.

The festival honors the Bragg Brothers, two Macon musicians who died in a car accident, and has since 1999. It became a city-wide event in 2003.
