Here are the boys basketball results from around Springfield for Nov. 24-25

DECATUR — Reggie Rice scored seven of his team-high 15 points in the fourth quarter and Southeast rallied in the second half for a 50-48 victory over Sacred Heart-Griffin in the consolation semifinals of the Decatur Thanksgiving Tournament on Friday.

Southeast (1-1) moved on to the consolation championship and will meet Decatur Eisenhower, which defeated Peoria Central 58-45.

Southeast trailed 29-20 at intermission before outscoring SHG 30-19 in the second half. Josiah Turner made a 3-pointer in the fourth quarter and scored five of his six points in the period for the Spartans. Rakim Higgerson ended with 10 points, Carlos Day chipped in eight and Jaylene Simmons tallied seven.

SHG (0-2) went into the final quarter with a slim 37-36 lead. The Cyclones went just 1-for-8 from the floor and made 6 of 10 free throws to get outscored 16-8 in the third period.

Jamarion Bardwell scored 12 of his game-high 18 points in the first half to lead SHG. He had six points in the fourth quarter and finished 8 of 19 from the field. Cameron Brinkman had seven points for the Cyclones.

In the championship bracket, Bolingbrook defeated Peoria Manual 63-48 and Decatur MacArthur beat Edwardsville 62-59.

Bolingbrook will face MacArthur for the tournament championship on Saturday.

AT LINCOLN

Belleville Althoff scored with 3 seconds left in the fourth quarter and defeated Lincoln 37-35 at the Lincoln/Eaton round-robin tournament at Roy S. Anderson Gym.

Despite shooting 29.2 percent (14-for-48) from the floor, Althoff was able to eke out the win. The Crusaders finished 7-for-22 from 3-point range, including 4-for-7 in the second half. Dierre Hill Jr had three 3s and led all scorers with 13 points. Earl Liverpool had a couple of treys and added 10.

Drew Hayes led Lincoln (1-2) with 12 points on 5 of 9 shooting to go with six rebounds. The Railsplitters finished 3-for-12 from beyond the arc and Aidan Gowin made all three for Lincoln and scored 11 points.

Wilmington's defense clamps down on Athens' football state title hopes

Champaign Centennial outscored Belleville West 13-5 in overtime and posted a 59-51 victory.

Todd Makabu and Jacobi Posey scored 12 points apiece to pace Centennial. Myles Liddell led Belleville West with a game-high 19 points.

In another game, Danville put four players in double figures and defeated Mahomet-Seymour 65-60.

Devan Larkin made 5 of 7 field goals and paced Danville with 15 points. Jackson Bohm had a game-high 23 points on 9 of 13 shooting for Mahomet-Seymour.

Lyncoln Koester nailed five 3-pointers and dropped in 23 points to lead Mount Zion past Cahokia 79-42. Koester went 9-for-20 from the floor.

AT JACKSONVILLE

Kaden Rogowski made a layup as time expired in overtime and Marion defeated Jacksonville 67-66 at the Crimson Classic at The Bowl.

Marion outscored Jacksonville 8-7 in the extra period after the game was tied 59-59 at the end of regulation.

Isaiah Martinez and Amaree Burries combined for 53 points as Jacksonville put four players into the scoring column. Martinez buried six 3-pointers and went 5-for-6 from the foul line for a team-high 27 points. Burries made 10 field goals, was 5-for-6 on free throws and added 26.

Rogowski led Marion with 22 points and teammate Phoenix Hatchett came on late with 12 of his 16 points in the fourth quarter and overtime periods.

Also at Jacksonville, O’Fallon romped Chicago Brooks 82-36.

AT QUINCY

Chicago Wendell Phillips defeated Lanphier 84-70 on the second day of round-robin play at the Quincy Thanksgiving Tournament.

Lanphier dropped to 1-1 at the tournament after beating Tinley Park 78-62 on Thursday. Quincy improved to 2-0 after dropping Tinley Park 69-29 on Friday.

The Blue Devils recorded a 69-58 victory over Wendell Phillips on Thursday.

AT PITTSFIELD

Petersburg PORTA defeated Barry Western 60-32 and finished the tournament with a 3-1 record at the Saukee Turkey Tournament.

Griffin McClure scored all of his team-high 11 points in the first half as PORTA led 32-16 at halftime. Ethan Mahoney added 10 points on five baskets and Keagan Dale drained three 3-pointers in the second half and chipped in nine for the Bluejays.

Pittsfield, which defeated PORTA 38-24 on Wednesday, won a pair of games on Friday and captured the tournament title by beating Barry Western 68-47 and Payson Seymour 71-40.

Brennan Tomhave and Javan Petty combined for five 3s and scored 26 points against Seymour. Tomhave made three treys and led the team with 14 points, while Petty hit two 3s and added 12.

Here are the girls high school basketball results from around Springfield for Nov. 20-22

AT MOUNT PULASKI

Victor McGill poured in a game-best 36 points and Litchfield rolled Buffalo Tri-City 89-49.

McGill made 14 field goals and went 7-for-7 from the free throw line. He had 22 points in the second half. Keenan Powell scored 12 first-half points and finished with 15. AJ Odle and Tate Dobrinich tallied 11 points each for the Purple Panthers.

In other games, Auburn rolled Delavan 49-28 and Clinton took care of Mount Pulaski 75-45.

REGULAR SEASON GAME

ALTAMONT 46, NOKOMIS 27: At Altamont, Nokomis finished with 20 turnovers and shot 9-for-33 (27.3 percent) from the floor to drop to 0-2 on the season.

Kennedy DeWerff made two 3-pointers and led Nokomis with 12 points. Reece Lohman scored nine in the loss.
