Boys Basketball: Pairings, results, recaps for the District One tournament

The District One boys basketball playoffs are set to begin Friday. Check out the matchups, final scores, photos and game recaps from all the Courier/Intell teams in the District One and District 12 playoffs here. This will be updated regularly throughout the postseason.

District One Boys Basketball Playoffs

Class 6A (12 PIAA qualifiers)

First round, Friday (Feb. 16)

(17) Neshaminy at (16) Conestoga: Neshaminy, which had won nine of its last 10 before losing to Upper Dublin in the Suburban One League Tournament, edged Conestoga 49-48 in a Jan. 29 non-league game behind 24 points from senior Emeer Coombs 24 and 10 by senior Nate Townsend.

(24) Springfield-Delco at (9) Abington: The Ghosts went 6-1 in their previous seven games until falling to Upper Dublin the SOL Tournament.

(20) Council Rock South at (13) Plymouth Whitemarsh: The Golden Hawks won five of their last six to end the regular season.

(21) North Penn at (12) Cheltenham: The Knights' regular-season highlight was a 64-57 win over SOL Colonial Division champion Central Bucks East.

(18) William Tennent at (15) Downingtown West: The Panthers have reached the district playoffs in consecutive seasons for the first time since 2003-04 and 2004-05.

(23) Avon Grove at (10) Perkiomen Valley

(19) Harriton at (14) Garnet Valley

(22) Pennsbury at (11) Central Bucks West: The Bucks won the teams' regular season meeting 44-31 behind 15 points by junior Roman Kulesa. Senior Connor Taddei had nine for the Falcons.
