The Boy and the Heron's English voice cast includes Florence Pugh and Robert Pattinson
The English voice cast of Studio Ghibli's fantasy anime The Boy and The Heron will include Florence Pugh, Robert Pattinson and Christian Bale.
The cast of the anime, from Academy Award-winning director Hayao Miyazaki, has been confirmed via a press release from animation distribution company GKIDS.
The voice cast will include Florence Pugh (Oppenheimer), Robert Pattinson (The Batman), Christian Bale (Thor: Love and Thunder), Dave Bautista (Guardians of the Galaxy), Gemma Chan (The Eternals), Mark Hamill (The Fall of the House of Usher), Karen Fukuhara (The Boys) and Willem Dafoe (Poor Things).

The film is an animated fantasy from the creator of My Neighbor Totoro, Spirited Away and Howl's Moving Castle, the last of which starred Christian Bale in 2004.
It follows Luca Padovan as Mahito Maki, a young boy who enters an enchanting world with a talking heron after discovering an abandoned tower in his new town.
The Boy and the Heron is Miyazaki's first feature film in over ten years, and premiered at the 48th Toronto International Film Festival this September.
It made its US premiere at the New York Film Festival and will be released in cinemas nationwide on December 8, following special previews from November 22.

The film's synopsis reads: "A young boy named Mahito, yearning for his mother, ventures into a world shared by the living and the dead. There, death comes to an end, and life finds a new beginning.
"A semi-autobiographical fantasy about life, death, and creation, in tribute to friendship, from the mind of Hayao Miyazaki."
Described by Digital Spy as a "luscious, absorbing animated masterpiece," The Boy and The Heron was released in Japan in July this year.
Despite no traditional marketing campaign, the film set a box office record by making 1.83 billion yen ($13.2 million) on its opening weekend – the largest release ever for Studio Ghibli.
The Boy and The Heron currently has no UK release date.
