Here’s What Bowl Game Ohio State Is Likely Headed To
Barring a shocking move by the College Football Playoff selection committee, Ohio State won’t be one of the top four teams this season.
Ohio State lost to Michigan, 42-27, on Saturday afternoon. The loss dropped the Buckeyes to 10-2 on the season, falling out of Big Ten championship contention.
While Michigan could be College Football Playoff bound with a win over Iowa next weekend, the Buckeyes will be heading elsewhere.
It sounds like Ohio State will be Rose Bowl bound. The Buckeyes could play either Utah or Oregon, depending on what happens next week.
Upsets in championship weekend have been fairly rare in the CFP era.
If things are chalky next week …

Cotton — Michigan-Cincinnati
Rose — Utah-Ohio State
Sugar — Baylor-Alabama

The Rose Bowl is a pretty good consolation prize, though Ohio State will probably have some notable opt-outs.
Ohio State has some top talents heading to the NFL and many players often sit out of games to prevent injury.
Still, it should be a fun Rose Bowl.
