Bourne battles blaze at bog pump house

Bourne firefighters made quick work of a fire Saturday morning at a pump house at a cranberry bog at 1009 County Road. The department received the call 6:57 a.m.The 10-by-16 wood shack contained a pump that had working for several hours, said Deputy Fire Chief Joe Carrara. The fire is not considered suspicious and no one was hurt, he said. The pump house was a complete loss, he said. Firefighters cleared the scene at 8:07 a.m.
