Boston Government Services adds nuclear solutions VP

Boston Government Services LLC (BGS), headquartered in Oak Ridge, has a new vice president of Nuclear Technology Solutions.

Kirt R. Marlow joins BGS from roles at Walsh Engineering Services, Areva/Orano and SAIC.

“This is an important sector not just for BGS, but for the nation’s energy future,” founder and CEO Harry Boston said in a news release.

Marlow has been engaged with national laboratories and the firms they work with for more than 25 years.

“One of the things that interested me about BGS is including the word solutions,” Marlow said. “That will be our goal: to engage with clients to find solutions to the challenges they face. And we can find them together.”

Marlow holds bachelor’s degrees in science and biology and a master’s in physics. He is also certified in project management.

BGS, an engineering, technology, and security firm founded in 2007. It has been named a Top 50 Department of Energy contractor. It employs more than 200 engineers in at least five locations. It is now owned by Bernhard Capital Partners.
