Boston Celtics Reportedly Interested In Veteran Forward

Now that we’ve closed the book on the NBA Finals, it’s time to address the latest offseason rumors. On Wednesday night, Marc Berman of the New York Post had an interesting report on the Boston Celtics and one of their targets for free agency.

According to Berman, the Celtics have interest in New York Knicks swingman Reggie Bullock. This would be a savvy move by Brad Stevens, who is entering his first offseason as the team’s president of basketball operations.

Bullock, 30, started in 64 games for the Knicks this past season. He averaged 10.9 points per game on 41.0 percent shooting from beyond the arc.

Every playoff team can use a player like Bullock. In addition to knocking down shots from the perimeter, Bullock plays solid defense on a nightly basis.

The latest report from the New York Post states that Bullock’s preference is to remain with the Knicks, but that means they’ll need to meet his asking price. Berman believes the Knicks will have to use the full mid-level exception of $9.23 million in order to retain Bullock.

The Celtics aren’t the only team that has interest in Bullock this offseason. The Los Angeles Lakers also have the North Carolina product on their radar.

Bullock is reportedly seeking a three-year deal and should be a great addition to any team this offseason. Of course, that’s if he doesn’t re-sign with the Knicks.
