These Boise theaters are offering $3 movie tickets for National Cinema Day on Sept. 3

National Cinema Day is Sept. 3 and to celebrate, movie tickets will be only $3 at most theaters across the United States, including some in Boise.

Although not all theaters are not participating in the discount event, some are offering discounted tickets for all movie formats including IMAX and 3D along with discounted snacks.

For those in Boise, Regal Cinemas, Cinemark and Reel Theatres will be offering $3 movie tickets at all their locations for all current movies such as “Top Gun: Maverick,” as well as “The Invitation,” in addition to “Beast” and “Thor: Love and Thunder.”

Regal Cinemas

Regal Cinemas has three locations in the Treasure Valley that will participate, offering $3 tickets for any movie in any format all day on Sept. 3.

Discounted tickets can be purchased online in advance or at the ticket counter.

Cinemark Theaters

There is one Cinemark location in Boise, at 2140 E. Cinema Drive in Meridian, that will offer discounts on Saturday. All movies including IMAX, Cinemark XD, and 3D formats will be $3, according to a press release from Cinemark.

The theater chain will also offer medium fountain beverages, medium ICEEs, candy and small popcorns for $3 for National Cinema Day. Moviegoers can also upgrade their popcorn to a large size for $1 more.

Reel Theatres

Reel Theatres will be celebrating National Cinema Day at all four of its Treasure Valley locations. Every movie in every format will be included in the $3 deal, according to Reel Theatres’ website
