This Boise restaurant says it’s phenomenal. There’s a grand opening discount to prove it

A restaurant has opened in West Boise with a pledge to be better than good.

The name says it all: Pho Nomenal.

Housed in the former Pho Tay space at 10548 W. Fairview Ave., Pho Nomenal Vietnamese Cuisine will celebrate its grand opening by offering a 15 percent discount through Nov. 15.

“Look no further than our restaurant if you are looking for a ‘phenomenal’ Vietnamese meal and a great family atmosphere,” Phuoc Dinh posted to a local Facebook group. Dinh’s mother and aunt, Sau Nguyen and Chin Nguyen, own the restaurant, he told the Idaho Statesman in a message.

“At Pho Nomenal, we want our guests to feel at home,” Dinh posted. “As a family-owned restaurant, we are happy to guarantee ‘you eat as we eat.’ Our customer’s health and satisfaction remain our top priority.”

Despite its soup-driven name, Pho Nomenal’s menu stretches far beyond noodle-and-beef-filled broth. The options include more than 50 Vietnamese dishes, ranging from vermicelli bowls, sandwiches and rice platters to stir-fried noodles, appetizers and soups.

Dinh described prices as “affordable” when taking into account “location, quality of food and services.”

The signature Pho Nomenal, aka pho dac biet, is $14.49 regular, $15.49 large. The beef noodle pho includes rare steak, brisket, beef meatball and tendon.

Banh mi sandwiches are $8.49. A shaking beef rice platter is $15.49. An order of stir-fried chicken lo mein noodles costs $15.49. Two fresh spring rolls are $7.99. Three crispy egg rolls go for $7.99.

The Special Rice Platter ($15.49) is steamed rice with pork chop, shredded pork, Vietnamese steamed meatloaf and an egg served sunny-side up.

Pho Nomenal also offers vegetarian dishes made by vegetarian chefs, Dinh said.

Restaurant hours are 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Monday through Thursday, 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. Friday through Sunday. Pho Nomenal only offers dine-in and takeout. Delivery is planned in the future, Dinh said.
