“Bluey ”Episode About Moving Inspires Heartwarming Zillow Ad from Ryan Reynolds’ Production Company: WATCH

Ryan Reynolds is teaming up with Zillow to prove that moving maybe isn’t so bad after all — despite a recent tear-jerking Bluey episode.

The actor’s production company, Maximum Effort, has released a heartwarming ad with Zillow that draws inspiration from the emotional season finale of the Australian children’s show titled “The Sign.”

Released on April 25, the commercial is a play on the touching episode in which viewers watched the beloved animated characters Bluey, Bingo, Bandit, Chilli and the extended Heeler family navigate the massive change of moving to a different city.

Dan Brumm, who voices Uncle Stripe on the hit Disney+ series, narrates the playful ad to help viewers see why moving doesn’t necessarily have to be a sad experience.

“At Zillow, we know that a home is more than just floorboards and window sills. A home is where memories are made,” Brumm says as the camera pans around the interior of a home filled with moving boxes.

He continues, “And despite how a certain children’s show made us all feel recently, moving into a new home might just be a good thing. A chance to make new memories, a fresh start, a whole new chapter.”

The video then cuts to the front exterior of a blue house where four dogs are sitting next to a “for sale” sign.

Zooming in on one of the pups’ seemingly sad expressions, Brumm adds with a sigh: “Don’t you look at me like that. Ugh, come on guys, you’re killing me here!”

Maximum Effort’s official Instagram account also shared the commercial along with the funny caption: “A true fixer-pupper.”

The “super sized” Bluey episode had fans reaching for tissues after the premiere on April 14. Viewers watched the characters celebrate the wedding of Bandit's brother Radley to Frisky and prepare for some additional major life changes that left many with tears.

“Because of Bandit’s new job, they are selling their house and moving, something Bluey, in particular, is not happy about,” according to the Los Angeles Times’ synopsis. “And while Chilli is trying to be supportive, it’s clear she doesn’t want to move either.”

Bluey fan Sam Gavin wrote that “it wouldn’t be an exaggeration to say Bluey’s The Sign absolutely f---ed me up.”
