Big flies and bonafide aces: Vote for the High School Baseball Player of the Week

Plymouth South High's Colin Ducie has been voted the High School Baseball Player of the Week.

The junior received over 24,000 votes to earn the honor. Ducie starred in a 9-1 win over Nauset. He allowed 3 hits while striking out 12 on the mound and went 2-for-3 at the plate with 2 RBIs.

And this week's candidates are...

Edward Hipp, Hull: Hipp earned his first varsity as he allowed 2 hits over 5 innings while striking out 10 in a win over Norfolk Aggie.

Ryan Witz + Max Gaudiano, North Quincy: In a 10-6 win over Pembroke, Witz had 3 hits, 2 doubles and 4 runs scored while Gaudiano had 3 RBIs. In an 8-6 loss to Braintree, Gaudiano had 3 RBIs.

Jack McGee + Liam Shepherd, Norwell: McGee threw a 5-inning no-hitter with 9 strikeouts in a 12-0 win over Rockland. Shepherd had 3 doubles and 3 RBIs.

Cam Beltramini, Sr., Whitman-Hanson: Beltramini had 3 hits, including a 3-run home run, in a 7-2 win over Duxbury.

Austin Daly + Shawn Boostrom, Rockland: Daly (3-for-4, 3 RBIs, 4 runs) and Boostrom (2 hits, 2 RBIs, 4 runs) had big offensive days in Rockland's 18-10 win over Holbrook.

Cole Kelleher + Connor Bagnell, Middleboro: Both pitchers fired gems in a pair of wins. Kelleher fanned 12 in a 5-2 win over Sandwich while Bagnell threw a shutout with 9 strikeouts in a 9-0 victory over Norwell.

Jag Garces, Soph., West Bridgewater: Garces was a terror on the basepaths in a 16-7 win over Hull. He went 1-for-1 with a double, but drew 4 walks and stole 5 bases. In a 10-8 loss to Cohasset, he doubled in all three of his plate appearances.

Jordan Medeiros, Jr., Avon: Medeiros fired a 2-hitter with 10 strikeouts in a 7-0 win over Rising Tide. He also went 2-for-3 at the plate.

Owen Kennedy + Gabe Knudsen, Hanover: Both pitchers had brilliant performances in wins. Kennedy threw a 1-hitter with 15 strikeouts against Plymouth South in a 4-0 win. Knudsen allowed 1 run over six innings while striking out 14.

Jason Bellucci, Sr., Scituate: Bellucci had a walk-off RBI in an 8-7 win over Hingham. The Sailors rallied from a 5-0 deficit.

Bryan Prioli, Holbrook: Prioli struck out 13 over 6 innings while scattering 3 hits in a 3-2 win over Avon. He also drove in the winning run with a 2-RBI base hit in the fifth inning.

Leo Lyons, Jr., Milton: Lyons threw a 2-hit shutout with 8 strikeouts in a 1-0 win over Walpole.

Liam Kinneen + Brady Lane + Brody Beale, BC High: Kinneen (5 innings) and Lane (2) combined for a no-hitter in an 8-1 win over Taunton, the defending Div. 1 state champs. Beale had a walk-off RBI single in a 9-8 win over Catholic Memorial in extra innings.

Nick Rucky, Sr., Braintree: Rucky had 4 RBIs in an 8-6 win over North Quincy.

Michael Atwater, Hudson: Atwater allowed just two hits and threw a complete game to beat Lincoln-Sudbury 3-1 on Tuesday. Atwater struck out five and had two hits for the Hawks.

JJ Blanchard, Sr., Framingham: Blanchard drove in three runs on three hits in an 8-0 win over Bridgewater-Raynham on Sunday. He also had three RBIs and scored three runs at the plate while striking out nine on the mound in a 12-1 win over Newton North.

Ryan Dillon, Sr., Marlborough: The Cornell University signee was 2-for-3 with a triple and two RBIs for the Panthers in a 10-0 win over Lunenburg. He also had two hits and an RBI in a 7-6, 12-inning loss to Westborough.

Nicholas Klein, Jr., Algonquin: Klein was 3-for-3 with a double and an RBI for the Titans in a 9-6 win over Shrewsbury.

Corey Magill, Sr., Blackstone Valley Tech: The Johnson & Wales signee drove in five runs and tripled among his three hits for the Beavers while also pitching (6 Ks, 3 IP) as part of a 15-strikeout day over six innings in a 14-3 win over Worcester Tech.

Luke Miele, Sr., Wellesley: The Roger Williams signee crushed three home runs for a whopping seven RBIs in a 13-3 Raiders win over Newton North.

Matt Miller, Sr., Franklin: Miller threw a one-hitter Saturday in a 3-0 win over Sharon. Miller needed just 75 pitches to complete the game and didn't allow a walk, striking out eight. In a 6-2 win over Taunton in a Division 1 state final rematch, Miller went 1-for-3 with a run and an RBI. And in a 1-0 loss to Foxborough, Miller struck out two in one shutout inning of relief.

Brian Olson, Sr., Dover-Sherborn: The Middlebury College-bound Olson smashed three home runs, as the Raiders took out Medway, 13-2. Olson drove in eight runs for the Raiders.

Teddy Peters, Sr., Holliston: The Brandeis University-bound Peters struck out six and allowed no earned runs over five innings in a 9-3 win over Medfield on Wednesday. Peters also had a walk, a hit and scored two runs in the victory.

Trevor Petty, Soph., AMSA: Petty scored three runs and threw four no-hit innings for the Eagles in a 16-0 win over Assabet.

Anthony Ruggiero, Sr., Nipmuc: The Northeastern-bound Ruggiero was 3-for-3 with two triples, a homer and three RBIs for the Warriors in a 14-5 win. In a 9-0 victory over Sutton, he homered and doubled twice among his three hits, driving in two runs.

Noah Smith, Fr., Hopedale: Smith was 2-for-3 with a double in a loss to Oxford, and 3-for-3 with a double, a triple, two RBIs and a run in an 11-0 win over Sutton.
