Big Brother just concluded its longest season ever, spanning a whopping 100 days. But we're not done with the veteran reality series for the year, as CBS has just announced a new Big Brother Reindeer Games holiday special, a six-episode, two-week event beginning December 11.

The series was announced during the finale of Big Brother 25. In it, alumni Danielle Reyes, Frankie Grande, and Britney Haynes returned to the house after previously opening the season--and the Big Brother multiverse--back during the August 2 premiere. And while the trio was able to use their "Time Laser" to close the four universes that invaded the house for the season, they opened up one more: The "BB Holiday Universe."

Reindeer Games will involve nine previous Big Brother houseguests--including one from the recently-wrapped season 25--receiving an invitation from Santa to compete in a brand-new game. Over six installments, they'll play in a variety of holiday-themed competitions. Each episode features three challenges, culminating in “Santa’s Showdown” which determines which player goes home at the end of that episode. The competition will winnow until four Big Brother legends remain. In the finale, one player will walk away with Santa's blessing, and a $100,000 grand prize to boot.

The list of nine houseguests competing will be announced at a later date. However, we do know of the three alumni who will "co-host" the series. Jordan Lloyd (season 11 winner & season 13), Tiffany Mitchell (season 23 America's Favorite Houseguest), and Derek Xiao (season 23 & The Amazing Race 34 winner) will serve as "Santa's Elves," helping guide the players through the various competitions. Notably, that means that this will be the first season under the Big Brother umbrella not hosted by Julie Chen Moonves.

The "Chenbot" is not the only aspect of Big Brother that will be absent from Reindeer Games. Despite the competition taking place in the iconic house, the contestants will not live there for the duration of the show. That means Reindeer Games will contain no live feeds. Rather than the 24-hour social strategy elements that have made Big Brother one of the most popular reality series ever, the holiday series will be solely focused on the competitive side of the show. Episodes of Reindeer Games will also be pre-taped, rather than typical live shows that come with evictions. The series plans to be shot in its entirety prior to its premiere.

Big Brother Reindeer Games will begin with a special two-hour episode on Monday, December 11 from 8:00-10:00 p.m. ET/PT. Episodes will then air on Mondays and Tuesdays from 9:00-10:00, and Thursdays from 8:00-9:00 until the finale on December 21.
