Beyoncé is bringing her critically acclaimed Renaissance World Tour to theaters, announcing earlier this month that a concert film based on the tour will hit the silver screen on Dec. 1.
The movie "Renaissance: A Film by Beyoncé" will allow fans to follow the songstress' tour stops across the globe, from the first show on May 10 in Stockholm, Sweden, to the show's finale in Kansas City, Missouri, on Oct. 1.
In addition to concert footage, the film will also include portions of the visual album for Beyoncé's latest album "Renaissance" and a documentary-style account of the album and tour’s creation.

According to a description of the film, it is about "Beyoncé’s intention, hard work, involvement in every aspect of the production, her creative mind and purpose to create her legacy, and master her craft. Received with extraordinary acclaim, Beyoncé’s Renaissance World Tour created a sanctuary for freedom, and shared joy for more than 2.7 million fans.”
"When I am performing, I am nothing but free. The goal for this tour was to create a place where everyone is free and no one is judged. You're unique," Beyoncé says in a trailer of the movie as concert footage flashes in the background. "Start over, start fresh, create the new – that's what the Renaissance is about."
