7th Heaven ran on The WB (later The CW) from 1996 to 2007 for 11 seasons. Created by Brenda Hampton, the series followed a reverend and his wife navigating the ups and downs of raising seven children of various ages.

"It’s been over a decade since I’ve revisited my life on the show," Gallagher writes in a statement In a exclusively shared with PEOPLE. "The best part about doing it this way is that it gives us all a reason to reconnect with each other. It feels great to spend time with the family again."

Mitchell also shared her excitement about reuniting with her former costars and revealed that the cast decided to move forward with the project after receiving a warm reception from fans decades later at 90s Con 2024.

"Growing up as an only child, these people have always been my family. After 90s Con it was clear that there is still a lot of love for the show among the fans, so why not get the gang back together," she says. "And honestly, it's like we never left. We truly are family and I am thrilled to revisit some of my most cherished and sometimes embarrassing memories"

Rosman admits that teaming with her costars again has felt natural after going in different directions after filming, explaining, "It’s kind of bizarre… to spend so many hours, days, months, years with people... that they feel very much like your own family. Then, one day it is over and you all go your separate ways. There’s no painful climactic point, just a huge empty space."

She continues: "It is the way it works, but a part of it doesn’t feel natural. Reconnecting with these people whom I love so dearly and have shared literally my entire childhood with, feels like the most natural thing on Earth."

Catching up with the Camdens will be available wherever you get your podcasts in May 2024.
