CHRISTMAS WILL be here before you know it, and if you’re short a tree and don’t want to spend top dollar come December, we have good news: One of our favorite brands for artificial Christmas trees has slashed the price of its best-selling model to 53% off on Amazon as an Early Access Prime Deal.
In tests to find the best artificial trees on the market, the pros at the Good Housekeeping Institute found that pre-lit trees from The National Tree Company are generally easy to assemble with a quick setup time. While this exact Dunhill Fir model wasn't included on their list, the tree averages an impressive 4.4/5 rating on Amazon and over 1,400 reviews from reviewers who say, "this 6.5' tree was great and the quality pretty impressive," and "the tree was very easy to put together."
Coming in at six-and-a-half feet tall with a metal base with a 51-inch diameter, this Christmas tree, which reviewers say looks real, is sure to impress all of your guests during holiday festivities. It features a whopping 650 pre-strung white lights which reviewers say makes the setup process super seamless and worry-free. Reviewers do warn, though, that at first, you'll need to take extra care to fluff out the branches for the fullest-looking tree. Good Housekeeping Institute test engineer Alec Scherma recommends fluffing from the bottom up, separating each of smaller limbs from the main branch, which helps to fill in the tree. While it is possible to do yourself, have a buddy help if you can as it can take over an hour to fluff properly by yourself (and that doesn’t even include decorating with ornaments!)
Storing the tree is just as easy as setting it up, thanks to pre-attached hinged branches that fold back in for quick and convenient storage when January rolls around. It’s also fire-resistant: Scherma tested the flammability of a bigger version of this tree, and was pleased to see that the tree would not burst into flames if exposed to any surprise fires (do not try this at home).
