Best pastries in Washington? French bakery with savory and sweet treats makes Yelp list

The best spot for pastries in Washington is a French bakery that serves sweet and savory treats, Yelp says.

Petit Pierre Bakery in Seattle was recognized as the top spot for pastries in the state, according to a list released by Yelp on Monday, Nov. 7.

To find the best pastries Yelp looked at U.S. businesses in the food and restaurants category that had a large number of reviews mentioning “pastry” and “pastries.” Then each place was ranked based on the total volume and ratings of reviews.

The bakery, which one reviewer described as “cozy and very European,” serves coffee, breakfast and lunch options.

Yelp reviewers highly recommended the almond croissant.

“Their almond croissant is the best I think I have ever had. Flaky crust layers forever!! Superb and rich almond flavor,” one reviewer wrote.

The breakfast menu includes a ham and Swiss croissant, bacon chives biscuit, French tartine or pain au chocolat, almond croissant, pearl sugar brioche, scones, coffee cake and cookies.

Customers can also order sandwiches, quiches and salads during lunch.

Petit Pierre Bakery has two locations: one in the Magnolia neighborhood and another in Phinney Ridge.
