While Black Friday may not be here quite yet, retailers are already offering major discounts on tons of items ahead of the major sale event. So if you're looking to get started on your holiday shopping or treat yourself to something special, now's the time to shop and save.

We scoured the market for Black Friday deals on power tools and kitchen appliances, along with generators, Christmas decorations, and toys for kids. Goal Zero Yeti 1500X Portable Power Station

We ran it from 100 percent down to 0 using a 459-watt load over 3 hours and 11 minutes. For reference, that’s like running four refrigerators, continuously, for the same amount of time. We actually did use the Yeti 1500X to power one refrigerator during our testing, and we were able to keep it going for 28 hours and 17 minutes before the battery died.

Using Goal Zero’s free app, we were able to pair the Yeti 1500X via Bluetooth and set it up to access via Wi-Fi remotely. Being able to monitor charging, as well as battery levels, remotely made things easier for testing. That convenience translates well to home or camping use, being able to know how much longer the battery will last—or when the power station is back up to a full charge.

Razor E100 Scooter

Razor is the default choice in the non-powered scooter market, so it’s no surprise that the company makes a good all-around electric scooter as well. It’s sized for children, and the single brake has a reasonably small lever.

Eight-inch-diameter pneumatic tires soften the ride, and two 12-volt batteries provide the motivating power. This scooter is on the small side, so consider it most appropriate for younger children.

One potential concern: It’s a twist throttle, so make sure your child has full control of the scooter before they wander too far afield.
