For the Pittsburgh Steelers fans hoping to see Ben Roethlisberger pull a Tom Brady and renege on his retirement, we have some back news.

In an interview with the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette, Big Ben made it very clear that he’s not coming back for another season. He suggested his former general manager and coach want him to stay retired as well.

“First off, my coach and GM don’t want me back,” Roethlisberger said about Kevin Colbert and Mike Tomlin, per the Post-Gazette. “Second of all, I’m pretty content with where I’m at. Being a bus driver, making lunches in the morning.”

That’s not the only bad news some Steelers fans received. Big Ben isn’t sure the team will be able to draft his replacement, either.

He suggested both Kenny Pickett and Malik Willis will be off the board when the Steelers select.

Here’s more via the Post-Gazette:

“Are either one of them going to be there?” he asked, referring to Pickett and Willis. “I just don’t know. If they are, I think that they would [pick them.] I don’t know. I don’t know. I know they got some linemen in free agency. Do they feel confident that those are the guys?”

Steelers fans will have to tune into the first round of the 2022 NFL draft on Thursday night to see their selection.

It all kicks off at 8:00 p.m. ET on ABC, ESPN and NFL Network.
