Ben Affleck Reacts to His Viral Grammys ‘Bored Face’ Meme in New Super Bowl Commercial

Ben Affleck, who is a true Dunkin’ enthusiast, is partnering with the coffee company once again for a new Super Bowl ad. Unlike last year, when the Air star dressed up as a Dunkin employee and served drinks to customers, Affleck is taking on the role of a (drumroll, please) pop star.

Yesterday, Dunkin’ released a teaser for the new commercial on their official Instagram page. The video starts with Affleck, 51, watching a news report on television, which shows the viral photo-turned-meme taken of the actor and his wife, Jennifer Lopez, at the 2023 Grammy Awards.

While he’s watching the segment, multiple voices can be heard commenting on how “bored” the actor looks. But, Affleck (drinking a cup filled with Dunkin’ coffee) sets the record straight, saying in a Boston accent, “He’s bored? No. [I’m] studying [and] always watching.”

The rest of the commercial shows Affleck trying to become a famous pop star, from enlisting the help of TikTok star Charli D’Amelio to making a demo in the recording studio.

As we said before, Affleck’s bored facial expressions were one of the most talked about moments during last year’s awards show. In the viral snap, the Good Will Hunting alum appears bored while sitting next to his wife, who is rocking a navy blue Gucci gown.

Even Lopez trolled her hubby about his facial expressions. Back in February 2023, the “Get Right” singer posted a sneak peek clip from Affleck’s film, Air, and made a subtle joke about his viral Grammy moment. “My husband's happy face,” J.Lo wrote under a still shot of Affleck’s nonchalant expression.

Ben’s stale facial expressions will never get old.
