Bella Hadid's latest street styles courtesy of vintage finds from visit to New Hope shop

When Bella Hadid walked into Ditto Vintage last October, it was Jessica Schuyler’s dream come true.

“I’ve been following her for years, and whenever I’ve been in a fashion rut, I would google her for inspiration,” said Schuyler, who owns the secondhand store in New Hope.

“So, when she came into the shop, it felt like a full circle moment, and I said, ‘I’ve been waiting for this moment my entire life.’”

Schuyler said the supermodel spent about an hour in her store, going through each piece one by one, before buying a few unique items. Among those purchases were a $48 gum wrapper/newspaper upcycled purse by Nahui Ollin, a leather moto jacket and a heart-shaped pendant necklace.

“She was just so nice,” Schuyler said. “She had that supermodel cool about her and also just so down to earth.”

Hadid was later photographed in New York City wearing her Ditto Vintage finds, which have since appeared in articles by fashion magazines like Vogue and Marie Claire.

The Nahui Ollin piece was specifically singled out by W Magazine with a headline stating, “Bella Hadid’s Upcycled Handbag Is the Star of Her Street Style Return.”

The shop’s aesthetic lends to its early 2000s vintage vibe with hot pink hangers, squiggly mirrors, neon signs and a commissioned wall mural by Lambertville artist Haley Manchon.

“It’s been such a goal to create an experience for people and to create a certain vibe,” Schuyler said.

“I work really hard to offer one-of-a-kind pieces, because ultimately that’s what thrifting and vintage is. I don’t necessarily believe in trends; I just believe people should be able to wear what they want and feel comfortable. And I’m just offering that in a very stylized manner.”
