Bella Hadid's Chic White Dress in Cannes Has a Surprise at the Back

Bella Hadid is currently in Cannes, and it's not an exaggeration to say that everything she's worn has been completely flawless. But she took the whole ~chic in the South of France~ thing to new heights on Thursday (May 23), stepping out at the Hotel Martinez in a white dress with a surprising asymmetrical open back.
She paired the look with a turquoise blue purse, chunky gold bangles and earrings, and black sunglasses.
Like, you think it's a simple t-shirt dress....

Bella also wore a backless dress from Dsquared's 2006 collection on Tuesday night (May 21) at the Chopard “Once Upon A Time” event:
And before that she was seen leaving the Hotel Martinez in this plunging gold gown, as well as a mini gold dress that I need someone to buy for me immediately. Oh wait, can't, because it's vintage Versace 😭.
Of course all of these looks have nothing on Bella's red carpet dress for the Cannes Film Festival itself, a completely transparent Saint Laurent naked dress.
Back in 2018 (were we ever so young) Bella talked to Harper's Bazaar about how she decides what to wear in Cannes.
“I bring everything; I’m a terrible packer,” she said. “I think, ‘what if I get cold at night or on the flight?’ So, I bring five cashmere sweaters. I like to change it up and it differs according to where I’m going and what mood I’m in. Sometimes I only want to wear black, sometimes I want to wear a rainbow dress. It depends what my vibe is. I’ve always loved fashion and I don’t care if anyone likes what I wear. I’m finally comfortable with the things that I want to wear. That’s what fashion is all about – if you’re happy with what you’re wearing then nothing else matters.”
