Beer, bratwurst and pretzels, Oktoberfest is back! Where you can celebrate across WA

Oktoberfest is here, and although some cities have already celebrated in Sept., you haven’t missed your chance to enjoy the beer, bratwurst and music that come with the celebration.

Here are a few Oktoberfest festivals and events taking place around Washington state in 2022. Oktoberfest events this weekend have dates in bold:

Northwood Public House & Brewery Oktoberfest - Battle Ground, WA

Northwood’s Oktoberfest takes place on Oct. 1 and Oct. 2. Exact hours for the celebration should be confirmed in advance, typical operating hours for the restaurant are 11:30 a.m. - 10 p.m. on Saturday and from 11:30 a.m. to 9 p.m. on Sunday.

The 7th annual event welcomes all ages and features live music, dancing, food, beer, and a strong-arm beer stein competition. Admission is free.

Northwood Public House & Brewery is located at 1401 SE Rasmussen Blvd., Battle Ground, WA, 98604.

Leavenworth Oktoberfest - Wenatchee, WA

Sept. 30-Oct. 1, Oct. 7-8, Oct. 14-15.

The festival includes live music, beer, brats, and a “kinderplatz” play area for kids. As the Leavenworth festival has moved to Wenatchee, there will be shuttles available to and from Leavenworth.

Admission costs $10 on Fridays and $25 on Saturdays and can be purchased online or at the gate.

The festival runs from 6 p.m. to 1 a.m. on Friday and from noon to 1 a.m. on Saturday.

The festival is located at the Town Toyota Center in Wenatchee at 1300 Walla Walla Ave.

Spokane Oktoberfest Events - Spokane, WA

Spokane has four Oktoberfest events in October, including the WSECU Fall Fest, Spokane Fresh Hop Festival and the Red Black and Brew Cheney Beer Festival.

The WSECU Fall Fest takes place on Oct. 1 and features live entertainment, a petting zoo, food trucks, horse and carriage rides and an urban pumpkin patch. The festival is free and runs from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. The event is located in downtown Spokane at 10 S. Howard St.

The Spokane Fresh Hop Festival is on Oct. 8, and includes food trucks, local brews, and entertainment. Tickets start at $49.99 for general admission from 4-8:30 p.m. VIP admission costs $74.99 per person with entry starting at 3 p.m. The 21 and up event is located at Millwood City Park at 9241 E Frederick Ave. and will be held rain or shine.

The Red Black and Brew Cheney Beer Festival also takes place on Oct. 8 and includes beer tastings from 13 local brewers. Tickets can be purchased online and cost $35 and include glassware and five tastings. Additional tastings can be purchased at the festival. The event runs from noon to 6 p.m. and is located at Sutton Park at 805 Washington St. in Cheney.

Oktoberfest Northwest - Puyallup, WA

Oct. 7 through Oct. 9.

Features authentic German food, music, beer, dancing, wiener dog races and more.

Admission is free on Friday, Oct. 7 between noon and 3 p.m.

Tickets start at $7.50, but vary per day. Ticket packages are also available that include food and drinks. Tickets can be purchased online in advance, and early bird prices end on Oct. 6.

All ages are welcome, but guests must be at least 21 years old after 6 p.m. on Friday and Saturday. The festival will run from noon to midnight on Friday, 11 a.m. to midnight on Saturday, and from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Sunday.

The festival is located at the Washington State Fairgrounds at 110 9th Avenue SW.
