Bedford High School, MCCC vocal ensembles offering free concert April 30

MONROE — The Bedford High School Varsity Choir will perform with Monroe County Community College's Agora Chorale at 7:30 tonight at the Meyer Theater, La-Z-Boy Center at MCCC, 1555 S. Raisinville Road. Admission is free.

"I Arise" is the theme of the concert, Agora's final performance of the season.

The BHS Varsity Choir will take the stage first to perform "Someone You Loved" by Lewis Capaldi and arranged by Mark Brymer, "The Lake" by Jay Althouse and "What Was I Made For?" by Billie Eilish and arranged by Andy Beck.

The BHS Varsity Choir is directed and accompanied by Tracy Glover. Members are: sopranos Sonya Bennett, Carley Jacobs, Liberty Lake, Olivia Pierce, Samarra Rodriguez and Avarie Roslin; altos Kristina Brown, Kaila Calgie, Yadia Caserta, Alice Kuntz, Maya Ortiz, Jocelyn Silverthorn, Edessa Stockard and Jessie Wood; tenors Lily Jenkins, Maxwell Jessen and Ethan Zell; and basses Hani Fallouh, Alexander Freeman, Michael Haskins, Mae Pollock, Jacob Robinson and Korbyn Rodgers.

The Agora Chorale is directed by Jonathan Lunneberg and accompanied by pianist Nancy Honaker. The ensemble will perform "Savory, Sage, Rosemary and Thyme" by Donald Patriquin, "Wood River" by Connie Kaldor and arranged by Willi Swozdesky, "Come Sunday" by Duke Ellington and arranged by Alice Parker, "Dreams of Thee" by Eric William Barnum and "The Song Arising" by Joseph M. Martin.

Members of the MCCC Agora Chorale are: Sara Ackerman, John Burkardt, Olivia Cossins, Alena Ellis, James Ford, Gabby Forrester, Ruth Ann Fraser, Aidan Gerlica, Matthew Garlepied, Sue Grassly, Lily Hatkow, Kati Kessler, June Linton, Audrey McEachran, Kimberly Mohn, Samuel Mohn, Jo Ann Naida, Keegan Schmitt, Taylor St. Andre, Laura Tibai, Ellen Wannemacher and Autumn West.
