Beaver Valley Expressway restrictions to occur throughout week of April 22

CENTER TWP. ― Motorists traveling along the Beaver Valley Expressway are being advised to use caution as lane restrictions are set to begin Monday morning.

According to a release from PennDOT, scheduled inspections on the bridge crossing the Racoon Creek between the Center Township and Aliquippa interchanges will require crews to limit the flow of traffic throughout the week of April 22 to ensure the employees' safety. Alternating lane restrictions are planned to occur from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. until Thursday.

Restrictions will occur according to the posted schedule:

  • Monday, April 22, and Tuesday, April 23 – Eastbound lane restrictions

  • Tuesday, April 23, through Thursday, April 25 – Westbound lane restrictions

Motorists are advised to practice caution when driving in the area for the workers' safety. Drivers can check the condition of the road and project status live on the 511PA website and smartphone app.
