Beaufort football bounces back. Hilton Head Christian, JPII pick up victories

John Paul II 47, Hilton Head Prep 14: Christian Tilton threw three touchdowns, ran for two and also returned a kickoff for a touchdown in the Warriors’ win. John Paul II trailed 14-12 in the first half before Tilton returned the ensuing kickoff for a score. Brandon Horton also had a TD run for the Warriors.
Hilton Head Christian 37, Thomas Heyward 6: Dylan Clark had another big game as the Eagles won their fifth straight game with a victory over the Rebels.
Beaufort 41, Battery Creek 6: Samari Bonds threw two touchdown passes and Jadyn Andrews had two TD runs in the first half as the Eagles bounced back with a win over Battery Creek. Andrews finished with 110 yards rushing and three scores. Bonds was 5-of-11 for 142 yards and two TDs.
Colleton County 26, Hilton Head Island 21: Colleton won its first region game since 2020 against HHI. Jackson Bibee threw for 135 yards and a TD and Troy Timko rushed for 116 yards and a TD in the loss for the Seahawks.
James Island 49, May River 14: Tank Scott had three rushing touchdowns to help James Island past May River. James Maxwell had a TD run and Braxton Scott threw a TD pass to DJ Wright.
Tanner Macy had a TD pass and run for May River.
Lucy Beckham 45, Bluffton 22: Lucy Beckham moved to 6-0 with a win over the Bobcats.
Woodland 41, Ridgeland-Hardeeville 12: Woodland moved to 6-0 with a win over the Jaguars.
Williamsburg Academy 26, Beaufort Academy 13: Teague Ward ran for two touchdowns as the Stallions handed the Eagles their second loss of the season. Camden Moore also added a rushing TD and Landon Strong caught a TD pass.
Dietrich Shuford threw a TD to Devin Fripp and Jaxen Porter had a TD run for BA.
