People online were doing a double take after one woman shared an unusual visitor walking down her street. It was a bear. Can you imagine? Just strolling down the street like it was working on getting its steps for the day. She then shared the clip online, where people were positively tickled.

Stephanie Kay was hanging around Sierra Madre, California when the bear tried to sneak by.

And by sneak by, we mean that there was pretty much no missing him. But you would never know it by the way the bear was casually taking a walk. We guess he didn't really have any plans and didn't have anywhere to be?

"Just a bear walking down a street in Sierra Madre, California. No big deal," Kay wrote in the video's caption.

Yep, no biggie. Nothing to see here. No one pay attention to the giant bear on the sidewalk. People in the comments section were cracking up over the bear's mid-day saunter.

"Notice how he/she walks on the sidewalk peacefully and minds their own business," joked one person. "The bear: 'y'all rang? because I'm here to hang,'" someone else kidded. "Definitely would rather hang out with a bear," a third person chimed in. "I have a friend that cruises around Sierra Madre Saturday mornings just spotting bears," one woman shared.

Keeping Bears Away From Your House

While this little guy seems pretty cool, it's understandable that you may not want a bear to visit you at your house... or near your house...or even in your neighborhood, quite frankly. Bears can be dangerous! So here are some tips on how to make sure a bear doesn't come and try to pay you a visit.

First, try to not keep food or trash outside. That may be difficult on trash day, but bears can smell food from up to 18 miles away. Never leave food unattended outside — even cat or dog food, which can also attract their attention.

Similarly, try not to eat outside. Again, we know that summer is coming and you'll want to barbecue. So if you want to use the grill make sure you make a lot of noise and don't leave the food unattended. Make sure you clean your grill completely after you're done and clean up any and all spills quickly so that there aren't any smells or residue.

It might seem like a pain in the moment, but remember, bears are looking for anything they can munch on. Don't make it the trash and litter in your backyard.
