The BBC has released the first-look image of Time series 2, featuring Game of Thrones and The Last of Us actor Bella Ramsey.

The second run of Jimmy McGovern's latest show moves the drama to a women's prison, where we meet a new cast of characters, both prisoners and staff.

Ramsey plays Kelsey Morgan, a prisoner in the late stages of her pregnancy. Doctor Who's Jodie Whittaker and Boxing Day's Tamara Lawrance play fellow prisoners called Orla O'Riordan and Abi Cochrane, respectively.

The synopsis explains that all three inmates arrive at Carlingford Prison on the very same day, but as very different women, they will all have very different experiences in prison.

The official description states: "Even with the ever-present threat of violence within its walls, they discover that an unexpected sense of community, and a shared understanding, still might be possible."

Happy Valley's Siobhan Finneran also stars as prison chaplain Marie-Louise, while Alma's Not Normal's Sophie Willan plays fellow inmate Maeve.

Further cast members include Julie Graham, Waterloo Road's Alicia Forde, Lisa Millett, Faye McKeever, The Capture's Kayla Meikle, This Is Going to Hurt's James Corrigan, SAS Rogue Heroes' Nicholas Nunn, and Maimuna Memon.
