Why are you running for election in Blythewood?

I am seeking reelection for Batesburg-Leesville Town Council because I want to continue to be a part of the growth of our town. I also want to continue to work on getting our roads resurfaced and paved. I believe that within the city limits of Batesburg-Leesville, we should not have any dirt roads, and roads that need to be resurfaced should be done so in a timely manner.

What should the Batesburg-Leesville Town Council do to attract development to the town?

I think as of now we are doing a great job. I think we can work more closely with our Town Manager as he seeks out businesses and other development opportunities for our town.

Why are you running for election in Batesburg-Leesville?

I am a life-long resident of Batesburg-Leesville seeking reelection for a second term. I have graduated from the Municipal Elected Officials Institute and wish to implement my training and experience to continue to work towards the town’s strategic plan created by the people in 2017. I am supportive of making continuous improvements in our town for the prosperity of our residents and visitors.

What should the Batesburg-Leesville Town Council do to attract development to the town?

Procure a sustainable clean drinking water source to replace our restrictive town resource (pond) and our 50+ year old water treatment facility. Improve vehicle and pedestrian safety within the community. Revitalization of both historic downtown districts to enhance their beauty and vitality; to make them more attractive to new businesses such as family restaurants and retail establishments. Promotion and creation of more art exhibits, attractions, and entertainment.
