After another action-packed week, the high school baseball season is starting to settle in. Here is the slate of Lower Hudson Valley high school baseball games for the week.

Check back each day for scores, updates, results and more. Any stories from live coverage will also be included here.

Monday, April 29

Pleasantville at Rye Neck (0-0, sspd. top 5th inning): This league game will resume at another date/time, which is still to be announced. Pleasantville's John Preiser will be up at bat, with a full count, one out and no runners on base. Rye Neck's George Katsaros will resume duties on the mound. Katsaros was impressive on Monday and tallied eight strikeouts so far, including six-straight to start the game. He only gave up two hits, to Pleasantville's Jack Van Sise and Declan Bruder, in the fourth inning. Pleasantville threatened with runners on the corners, but Rye Neck was able to fend off the threat and keep it a scoreless affair.

Pleasantville's Charlie Bateman was also tough on the mound, relinquishing only three hits, while striking out six batters so far. Rye Neck's Daniel Stone, Julian Frabasile, and Davey Ryan each recorded hits. Rye Neck also gave Pleasantville a scare in the fourth inning, with two runners in scoring position, as Ryan got a hit and Daniel Zyngier got a walk. However, Bateman showed tremendous guts, striking out back-to-back batters to get out of the jam and keep things 0-0.
