Monday’s results

PLEASANT PLAINS 3, SACRED HEART-GRIFFIN 1: At Comstock Field, Sean Lowder collected the win for the Cardinals in 6 2/3 innings.

He gave up one unearned run on five hits and one walk with one strikeout. Cooper Schallenberg closed out the victory with the final strikeout in the seventh while supplying two hits.

Trager Shultz went 2-for-3 with two RBIs in the No. 9 spot for the Cardinals (20-3). Carter Durako had a hit with an RBI and run.

Grant Blackburn suffered the loss in seven innings. He struck out six while giving up one earned run on seven hits and no walks.

NORMAL U-HIGH 3, SPRINGFIELD HIGH 2 (9 innings): At Normal, Braden Mehn scored the walk-off run following an infield error in a Central State Eight Conference win for the Pioneers.

Devan Tupper struck out 10 and gave up two runs on four hits and two walks in a complete game for U-High (18-6, 5-1 CS8).

Seth Impson also fanned 10 for SHS (11-10, 6-2) in eight innings in a no-decision.

MOUNT PULASKI 15, MACON MERIDIAN 3 (5 innings): At Macon, Landon Smith and Chance Payne each homered en route to a nonconference win.

Smith finished with three hits and three runs while Payne had four RBIs. Eric Cooper and Aaron Volle each had two hits. Liam Smith picked up the win in a complete game. He gave up three unearned runs on three hits and four walks with nine strikeouts.

ATHENS 7, DECATUR ST. TERESA 1: At Decatur, Cody Tobias allowed one unearned run on four hits and one walk with seven strikeouts in five innings and the Warriors picked up a nonconference win.

Tobias led off the order with two hits while Zakk Edwards, Josh Harris and Davis Ihamel also had two hits apiece. Owen Alderman closed out the final two innings with five strikeouts.

NORTH MAC 10, CARLINVILLE 0: At Carlinville, Collin Etter and Payne McLean each finished with two hits in a South Central Conference win.

McLean also had two RBIs. Quinn Morrow struck out 12 in a complete-game win. He allowed just four hits.

HAVANA 6, CONCORD TRIOPIA 5: At Concord, Carter Brooks went 4-for-5 with an RBI and two runs in the leadoff spot for the Ducks. He also delivered the win on the mound in five innings. He gave up three unearned runs on one hit and four walks with three strikeouts.

MENDON UNITY 8, RUSHVILLE-INDUSTRY 3: At Rushville, Bennett Fretueg and Macon Kessler each had three hits in the loss for the Rockets. Fretueg hit a solo shot in the fourth inning.
