Wednesday’s results

LINCOLN 6, JACKSONVILLE 5: At Lincoln, Colbie Glenn delivered three hits and three runs in the leadoff spot en route to a Central State Eight Conference win.

Glenn also tossed two innings and had three strikeouts. Jarrett Evers had two hits. Brenden Wurth had two RBIs despite no hits for the Railsplitters (3-3, 1-1 CS8). Wyatt Mammen earned the win in five innings, giving up eight hits, four walks and five runs with three strikeouts.

Nolan Peters and Joe Reif each had two hits for the Crimsons.

NORMAL UNIVERSITY 4, ROCHESTER 1: At Normal, Max Heineman hit the go-ahead 2-RBI single in the fifth inning en route to a Central State Eight Conference win.

Devan Tupper threw six innings and struck out nine. He ceded just one hit, three walks and one run.

Adan Nieves had a hit and RBI for the Rockets (6-1, 1-1 CS8).

JACKSONVILLE ROUTT 6, NEW BERLIN 2: At New Berlin, Eli Olson struck out 12 in six innings for the nonconference win.

He yielded five hits, three walks and two runs. A.J. Charpentier struck out three in one inning.

Conrad Charpentier had a double and two RBIs. Nolan Turner had a hit and scored twice. Bryson Mossman and Dalton Brown each had two hits.

GILLESPIE 11, NOKOMIS 3: At Gillespie, Luke Schuckenbrock doubled twice and finished with three hits and three runs in the nonconference win.

Bryce Buhs delivered two hits, three RBIs and two runs. Daniel Wolber struck out seven in five innings with four hits, three walks and three runs allowed. Nolan Herpstreith had two hits for NHS.

MOUNT PULASKI 5, OKAW VALLEY 0: At Mount Pulaski, Landon Smith silenced the Timberwolves with nine strikeouts in 6 2/3 innings for the nonconference win.

He gave up just one hit and three walks. Chance Payne had a hit and two RBIs. Eric Cooper scored twice with a hit and RBI.

NORTH MAC 10, PETERSBURG PORTA 7: At Petersburg, Andrew Scroggins went 3-for-4 with four RBIs in the nonconference win.

Quinn Morrow had two hits and three RBIs while Dane Vance supplied two hits.

Levi Hoagland led the Bluejays with three hits.

PAWNEE 10, CARLINVILLE 3: At Carlinville, Caden Anderson went 3-for-3 from the No. 9 spot in the Pawnee lineup to help his team to a nonconference win.

Anderson drove in a run and scored twice. He also drew a walk.

Pawnee’s Carson Wort drove in four runs, including an RBI single to give his team a 1-0 lead in the top of the first inning. Trenton Hull also had three RBIs.

Pawnee used four pitchers to limit Carlinville to two hits. Dom Alepra and Noah Byots had RBIs for the Cavaliers.

LITCHFIELD 10, RAMSEY 0 (five innings): At Ramsey, Max Leitschuh produced three hits, two RBIs and three runs and the Purple Panthers improved to 8-0.

That included two doubles from Leitschuh. Drake Gasperson had a triple and finished with three hits and two RBIs. Ian Otto added two hits. Gasperson picked up the win in two innings with six strikeouts and just one hit allowed.

SOUTHEAST 18, DECATUR EISENHOWER 6 (5 innings): At Southeast, Carter Hood and Jaxon Cook each produced two hits, three RBIs and two runs in the Central State Eight Conference win.

Miles Leininger had two hits, two RBIs and two runs while Brayden Twist had a triple and three RBIs. Twist also tossed three innings. He gave up one hit, two walks and one unearned run with six strikeouts.

HILLSBORO 7, BUNKER HILL 6: At Bunker Hill, Elliot Lentz totaled 12 strikeouts and allowed one hit, six walks and one run in 5 2/3 innings.

Jace Stewart tallied three hits and two runs. Ketch Mills had a hit and three RBIs. The Hiltoppers held on for the win after building a 7-1 lead going into the bottom of the seventh.

MENDON UNITY 8, BEARDSTOWN 1: At Mendon, Cody Shaffer struck out 12 in six innings and gave up two hits and three walks in the win.

Tanner Riddell had a double for Beardstown.

SPRINGFIELD HIGH 24, LANPHIER 4 (4 innings): At Robin Roberts Stadium, Brody Scheffler went 3-for-5 with two RBIs and two runs in the Central State Eight Conference win.
