Friday’s results

CHATHAM GLENWOOD 1, WASHINGTON 0: At Chatham, pitchers Dylan Huff, Ryan Dunbar and Adam Wahlbrink combined to throw a shutout in a nonconference win.

Dunbar earned the win in 3 1/3 innings. He allowed just three hits with two strikeouts.

Colten Knoedler knocked home Cam Appenzeller in the fifth inning for the winning run. Appenzeller reached first base on an error to begin the frame.

Garrett Cox suffered the loss despite 10 strikeouts in 5 1/3 innings. He gave up one unearned run on two hits and a walk.

ROCHESTER 10, MOUNT ZION 4: At Mount Zion, Jack Swaney went 3-for-4 with two RBIs and two runs and the Rockets secured the nonconference run with four runs in the seventh inning.

Parker Gillespie also chalked up three hits with two runs while Tyson Binon, Adan Nieves and Jorey Myren each had two hits. Jett Myren had one hit and three walks.

Nieves and Eli Carlson combined for 14 strikeouts. Nieves picked up the win in five innings with eight strikeouts, giving up four runs on five hits and three walks.

LINCOLN 11, LANPHIER 0 (5 innings): At Robin Roberts Stadium, Michael Lucas furnished three hits with two RBIs and two runs in a Central State Eight Conference win, including a triple.

Colbie Glenn homered and ended with two hits, two RBIs and two runs. Drew Hayes, Karson Komnick and Tate Johnston each had two hits also.

Johnston took the win in four innings with five strikeouts and three hits and three walks allowed.

MOUNT PULASKI 6, SOUTHEAST 5: At Mount Pulaski, Luke Martin hit a walk-off single with one out and the Hilltoppers scored three runs in the bottom of the seventh inning to rally for a nonconference victory.

Winning pitcher Chance Payne tied the game at five apiece in the seventh with a two-run double. Mount Pulaski trailed 5-1 until it scored two runs in the sixth. Payne had an RBI single, and Franklin Wade cut the Hilltoppers deficit to 5-3 with a sacrifice fly.

Southeast scored twice in the first on an RBI triple by Tim Herrington (2-for-3, two runs) and a run-scoring single by Ethan Murphy. Murphy drove in a run with a triple to give the Spartans a 3-1 lead after three innings. Jaxon Cook made it 5-1 with a two-run double in the fourth.

Payne struck out five, walked one and allowed two hits in two scoreless relief innings for the win.

PLEASANT PLAINS 7, MACOMB 1: At Plains, Cooper Schallenberg manufactured three hits with an RBI and two runs in a nonconference win. That included a triple.

Trager Schultz and Owen Johnson each had two hits. Grady Grisham had a hit and two RBIs.

Cale Hatcher earned the win in 3 2/3 innings. He gave up one run on two hits and two walks with one strikeout.

LITCHFIELD 9, PANA 5: At Litchfield, Tate Dobrinich ushered two hits, three RBIs and a run in a South Central Conference win.

Carson Saathoff and Max Leitschuh each scored twice.

Ethan Saathoff took the win in four innings. He gave up two earned runs on four hits and two walks with one strikeout.

Madyx Angel had two hits for Pana.

GILLESPIE 7, NORTH MAC 1: At Gillespie, Tristen Wargo totaled 11 strikeouts over six innings and gave up just three hits and one walk with no runs to catapult the Miners to a South Central Conference win.

Carson Hailstone provided a hit and two RBIs for Gillespie.

Cade McCready had two hits for North Mac, including a triple.

NEW BERLIN 9, PAWNEE 5: At New Berlin, Lucas Bixby opened the first inning with a two-run home run and the Pretzels staved off Pawnee for a nonconference win.

PHS rallied ahead with five runs in the fifth before the Pretzels rebounded with five of their own in the bottom half.

Gannon Dodd posted three hits with an RBI and two runs, including two doubles. Reid Hepperly earned the win in 1 2/3 innings with four hits, one walk and two runs allowed. He struck out two.

Tyler Surber had a hit with two RBIs and a run for Pawnee. Jacob Butler and Hunter Barber had two hits apiece.

LUTHERAN 5, BLOOMINGTON CORNERSTONE CHRISTIAN 0: At Lutheran, Alex Sullivan tossed a five-hit shutout as the Crusaders posted a nonconference win.

Sullivan fanned eight and walked two.

AJ Gehrke gave Sullivan all the run support he needed when he singled in two runs in the bottom half of the first inning. Caleb Cox (2-for-2, two runs) had an RBI single in the fifth and later scored a run on a passed ball.

MAROA-FORSYTH 10, ATHENS 0 (5 innings): At Maroa, Mitch Williams struck out 10 and allowed just one hit en route to a Sangamo Conference win.

Connor Kelly tallied three hits and two runs. Ace Giles had two hits and two runs.

NOKOMIS 6, BETHANY OKAW VALLEY 3: At Bethany, Ian Keller delivered the go-ahead sacrifice bunt to score Kannon Jonas in the sixth inning.

NHS tied up the nonconference meeting with two runs in the fifth, including an RBI double by Brenton Lyons.

Saint Newman and Izaak Doyen each had two hits for Nokomis. Doyen hit a two-run dinger in the seventh to help cement the win.

Levi German picked up the win in five innings. He gave up just two walks with three strikeouts.

PAYSON SEYMOUR 5, BEARDSTOWN 4: At Beardstown, Payson rallied with five runs in the sixth inning to topple Beardstown.

The Tigers summoned two runs in the seventh before falling short. Hunter Miller generated a double with two RBIs for Payson.

GREENVILLE 8, HILLSBORO 0: At Hillsboro, Cohen Alstat threw a complete game with 11 strikeouts while allowing just three hits to earn the win.

Nathan Matoush struck out 10 in five innings. He gave up two hits, two walks and two runs in the loss. He also had two hits with a triple.

VANDALIA 11, CARLINVILLE 1 (6 innings): At Vandalia, Carlinville summoned up just two hits in a South Central Conference loss.

Losing pitcher Noah Convery and Konner Costello both singled and accounted for Carlinville’s two hits. Vandalia’s Brady Elder threw a complete game, striking out three and walking one.

Andrew Casey went 2-for-3 with three RBIs and Kale Konrad was 3-for-4 with two runs to provide the pop in the lineup for the Vandals.

PIASA SOUTHWESTERN 9, STAUNTON 1: At Piasa, Adam Hale allowed just one hit and six walks in six scoreless innings for the Piasa Birds.

Dillon Pritchett scored the only RBI for the Bulldogs.

MAHOMET-SEYMOUR 15, TAYLORVILLE 0 (4 innings): At Mahomet, Maxx Grieme mustered the only hit for the Tornadoes.

MAHOMET-SEYMOUR 15, TAYLORVILLE 5 (6 innings): At Mahomet, Colton Gatton generated three hits, including a home run, in the nonconference loss.

GREENFIELD/NORTHWESTERN 14, RAYMOND LINCOLNWOOD 4: At Raymond, Brodey Vanhooser supplied two hits with a double in the nonconference loss.
