The Anderson High School Athletic Hall of Fame is celebrating baseball this spring by including the Raptors' six championship baseball teams from the 1950s in the 2024 induction class.

The school baseball team won titles in 1950, 1952 and 1954 before going on a three-year championship streak from 1956-1958.

In addition to the six baseball teams, the hall of fame announced seven individuals to be inducted at the April, 20, 2024, ceremony.

The class includes Mike Shields from the graduating class of 1974 who still holds the school's 1-mile record he set in his senior year.

Among the inductees are former athletic director Randy Corbitt who will be inducted and awarded a service award.

To make this ceremony extra special, the hall of fame is asking for help reaching more members of the six 1950s baseball teams. Team members or family members are encouraged to call coach John Raymond for more information.
