Baseball: Bridgewater-Raritan draws top seed in Somerset County Tournament, full pairings
Bridgewater-Raritan’s outstanding season netted it the No. 1 seed in the 49th Somerset County Tournament.
The Panthers (16-3), who last won in 1996 and reached a final in 2012, are undefeated in the county this spring.
Immaculata – which has won 14 titles – drew the No. 2 seed in the 14-team tournament followed by third-seeded Ridge and fourth-seeded Watchung Hills, while Franklin was the No. 5 seed. All four had a pre-seeding meeting claim of getting the No. 2 seed.

Defending champion Rutgers Prep drew the No. 13 seed.
The top four seeds earn a bye into the quarterfinals on May 16 at the higher seed. The semifinals on May 20 (at 1 p.m. and 4 p.m.) and the championship on May 23 at 7 p.m. will be held at TD Bank Park.
The tournament started in 1973 but was not played in 2021 and 2020 because of the Covid-19 pandemic.
