Baseball, boys and girls lacrosse and boys volleyball were on Friday's schedule

BASEBALL

Division III

Rogers 16, Hope 3

Four Rogers' players — Conor Donohue, Robert Dufault, C. Schreiber and Cole Marley — each drove in 2 runs as the Vikings rolled over Hope in a D-III confrontation. Julio Mynyety was a bright spot for Hope as he homered and drove in 2 of the team's 3 runs.

BOYS LACROSSE

Division I

Barrington 10, North Kingstown 7

Colin Hope paced the Eagles’ offense as they flew past the Skippers and picked up a much needed win. Hope led five Barrington scorers with four goals. Jake Ignall and Nick Spaight scored two goals apiece and Troy Van Ness led a defensive effort that limited NK’s offense all night. The win stopped a two-game slide.

Division IV

Scituate 13, North Smithfield 3

Grant Bailey scored 6 goals and assisted on 2 others, Brady Scanlon netted a hat trick and Cayden Gurjian had a pair of tallies and 3 assists as the Spartans beat the Northmen and tied them for first place in the division with 5-1 records. Owen Dubuc had all 3 scores for North Smithfield.

GIRLS LACROSSE

Division II

Chariho 19, Cranston West 1

Chaia Elwell had a monster game, scoring 8 goals and assisting on 2 more as Chariho rolled to victory over Cranston West. Also making solid contributions to the win were Kayden Jaillet (4 goals, 2 assists), Kylie Hoffman (3 goals) and Alexis Comella (2 goals, 1 assist). Sofia Nardelli scored the lone goal for the Falcons.

Burrillville 15, Middletown 2

Emilia Ferraro had the Broncos’ offense cooking, leading the way in a 15-2 win over the Islanders. Ferraro set the tone early and finished the game with 5 goals for Burrillville. Jenna Forrest, Rayna Polacek and Victoria Steele each added two goals. Olivia Ferraro came up big as well with 13 saves in the win.

Smithfield 18, Pilgrim 6

The Sentinels dominated on the offensive end and closed the game in commanding fashion to pick up a win over the Patriots. Smithfield jumped out in a hurry and led by as much as 8-1 before Pilgrim slowly started to gain possession and get back into the game. The Sentinels led, 11-6, after the third quarter before finishing strong and inducing a running-clock situation. Annabelle Lally led the way for Smithfield with four goals, Charlotte Lally and Kaylin O’Connor each scored three and Bella Bettencourt and Caitlin Kelly each added two in the win. Kiley Strain was the leading goal-scorer for Pilgrim posting three. Lily Farrell had two.

Cumberland 13, Mt. Hope 2

With seniors Gwen Ross (4 goals and 1 assist) and Maddies Estes (10 saves) leading the way, the Clippers recorded a convincing victory. Leanna Parrillo and Brooke Tellier, who had a pair of goals apiece, helped Cumberland improve to 14-2. Adriana Botelho and Arden Wilkes each scored a goal for the Huskies, who are now 14-3.

Division III

East Providence 16, Rogers 4

Kenna Wigginton fired in 4 goals, Alyssa Karalekas netted 3, and Katherine Almeida and Kloey Iacovone each had a pair as the Townies dominated play. Fallon Bagley had two goals for the Vikings.

Narragansett 14, Providence Country Day 12

With a large portion of its starting lineup away on a school trip, the Mariners pulled together and got a big second-half performance to earn a win over the Knights. Ellie Wooten was the focal point of the Narragansett offense and led the way with eight goals. Ellie Cordischi put up big numbers for PCD, scoring six of her team’s goals. Eloise Wetherby came up with three in the loss.

BOYS VOLLEYBALL

Division III

Tolman/Shea 3, Johnston 0 (25-12, 25-11, 25-21)

Mt. Hope 3, Scituate/Prout 2 (26-24, 19-25, 24-26, 25-23, 15-12)

Nate Fisher finished with 29 digs and Isaiah Bourgealt had 7 kills, leading the Huskies (4-1) to a hard-fought, five-set victory. Mason Brown had 17 kills and 25 digs and Porter Fisher chipped in with 28 assists for Scituate/Prout, now 4-2.
