In an interview with Complex, the 44th president said that Drake was “talented” enough to “do anything he wants,” including portray the modern-day history maker in a movie.

“I mean, that is a talented brother. If the time comes, and he’s ready… Drake has — more importantly — my household’s stamp of approval,” Obama told host Speedy Morman.

“I suspect Malia and Sasha would be just fine with it,” he added of his daughters.

The co-sign comes after Drake has previously said that he “hopes somebody makes a movie about Obama’s life soon” so he “could play him.”

“That’s the goal. I watch all the addresses. Any time I see him on TV, I don’t change the channel,” Drake told Paper in 2010. “I definitely pay attention and listen to the inflections of his voice. If you ask anyone who knows me, I’m pretty good at impressions.”

Obama has previously been portrayed on the screen by Parker Sawyer (“Southside with You”), Devon Terrell (“Barry”) and Kingsley Ben-Adir (“The Comey Rule”). On Broadway, veteran actor Peter Francis James starred as the popular POTUS in Lucas Hnath’s “Hillary and Clinton” in the spring of 2019.

As for his acting credentials, Drake is no slouch. He was actually an actor before he rocked the microphone.

For the Canadian teen drama series “Degrassi: The Next Generation,” the Toronto native — whose real name is Aubrey Drake Graham — portrayed Jimmy Brooks, a high school basketball star who became paralyzed as a result of a high school shooting.

Drake served as a main character for seven seasons of the landmark series and was a recurring character in the eighth season before launching a recording career.

The multiple Grammy Award-winning, chart-breaking hip hop superstar, other early acting credits include the Showtime series “Soul Food” and the romantic comedy short “Mookie’s Law.”

Off-screen, Drake is an executive producer of the Netflix series “Top Boy” and HBO’s “Euphoria.”
