‘Bad Girls Gone God’ rescued from Arizona mountain in 100-degree heat

They would’ve been better off just listening to Rihanna.

A group of women filming a religious reality show titled “Bad Girls Gone God” had to be rescued from a mountain in Arizona because they were overwhelmed by the 100-degree heat.

Eight women were helped down Camelback Mountain in Phoenix on Thursday after showing up unprepared for a strenuous hike.

“We had no idea going into it that this apparently was one of the hardest trails in Phoenix,” hiker Kristin Livingston told local CBS affiliate KPHO.

The women, part of a religious group committed to challenging physical and spiritual experiences, started their hike around 7 a.m. Thursday, Phoenix firefighters said. Each person brought only a small bottle of water despite climbing the difficult Echo Canyon Trail.

Camelback Mountain is notorious enough that there is a Facebook group called “Please Don’t Die Or Have To Be Rescued On Camelback Mountain, Arizona.”

Temperatures climbed into the 100s by noon, and the group split up as some people stopped and others continued on, KPHO reported. Jasmine Hunter got down the mountain first but noticed her friends weren’t following behind.

“We couldn’t reach anybody on the phone anymore and that’s when we were like, we need to activate,” Hunter told the station. Phoenix firefighters praised the women for calling for help quickly.

Five people were either wheeled down the mountain in a basket or flown down in a helicopter. Three others were assisted by firefighters on their way down. Three of the rescued people, identified as a 50-year-old woman, a 42-year-old woman and a 24-year-old man, were hospitalized in stable condition.
